Another Wellsville home will soon become rubble

Another home in Wellsville is on the verge of becoming rubble as a local business grows. Crews from K.S. LaForge began staging equipment this morning in preparation of demolishing a home on Chamberlain Street in Wellsville. Employee Services, Inc. purchased the failing home in January. Village of Wellsville Code Enforcement Officer Jo Fenske says the demolition permit was issued on August 31st. The company has an active demolition permit valid until the end of the year but Fenske said the work will likely begin "within a few days." Neighborhood sources say the firm plans to use the new space for parking as the company continues to grow.
Wellsville has witnessed several building demolitions this year...mostly in the Farnum Street area. This week, travelers also watched as crews smashed the McDonalds restaurant on Bolivar Road in Wellsville into kindling wood so that the business can build the fast food building of the future.
