Once again, North Korea fired a missile over Japan ; once again, the Security Council will 
meet ; once again, Washington fulminates. Simple bluff ? It would be wrong to shrug your 
shoulders. ---- For paranoia and totalitarianism - in 2016, 120,000 prisoners survived in 
concentration camps [1]- the Kim Jong-un regime pursues, on an international level, 
objectives that are not irrational, and which explain the current crisis. ---- The caste 
in power is obsessed with the recognition of its right to existence and security. For 
Pyongyang, the main obstacle to this recognition is the hostility of the world's leading 
power, the United States. The war of 1950-1953 killed 200,000 North Koreans, and no peace 
treaty was ever signed, which still leaves the threat of a threatened ceasefire at stake.

The strategy of Kim Jong-un

The short-term goal of Pyongyang is to secure the establishment of a bilateral dialogue 
with Washington, which would initiate recognition of the legitimacy of North Korea. Hence 
his strategy of alternating hands extended to South Korea and demonstrations of nuclear 
force to compel the United States to concede this dialogue.

Does that mean that there is nothing to fear and that these are only diplomatic ranting ?

Not at all, for there have been many times in history where, in a state of warlike 
tension, a war may have begun on a misunderstanding or a badly controlled slippage.

South Korean and Japanese peace activists are right to call for de-escalation, an end to 
the arms race and a break with US military guardianship which only fuel a climate of 
high-risk suspicion and transform the Korean Peninsula into a powder magazine .

The Japanese left and the extreme Korean left protest

In this warlike escalation, it is necessary to emphasize to what extent South Korea is 
treated as a negligible quantity. According to a well-established tradition since the 
1990s, Seoul is left out of the crisis talks between Washington, Beijing and Tokyo. South 
Korea only appears as part of the US military system.

Considering that South Korea is the plaything of an inter-imperialist rivalry that 
surpasses it, one of the main South Korean anti-capitalist organizations, Workers' 
Solidarity [2], demands that Seoul emerge from the military alliance with the United 
States - an alliance that is both a protection and a factor of danger [3]. Thus, in the 
spring of 2017, the deployment by the US military of the Thaad anti-missile system on 
South Korean territory provoked strong protests and demonstrations [4].

In Japan, the very social-democratic, but resolutely pacifist, Communist Party - demanding 
the break-up of the Japanese-American military alliance - condemned the North Korean " 
provocations  " and stressed that the "  direct dialogue  " demanded by the North Korea 
with the United States became "  urgent  " to initiate a de-escalation [5].

The nuclear weapon is an abomination ; Alternative libertarian is favorable to its 
abolition, whether in France, the United States, North Korea or elsewhere ; but in no case 
should the North Korean nuclear program be the cause of a war with disastrous consequences.

AGAINST THE EMERGENCY REQUIREMENT IN TURKEY ---- INTERNATIONAL SOLIDARITY IN EDUCATIONAL 
SURPRISES ---- On March 9, 2017, Turkish educators  Nuriye Gülmen  and  Semih Özakça began 
a hunger strike, continuing their protest against their dismissal  and stepping up their 
fight against the emergency regime  in Turkey . On the 76th day of the hunger strike, and 
after their struggle has found a great social response, they are captured by Erdogan's 
authoritarian regime and taken to prison, where to date, in full isolation at the prison 
hospital, they continue their struggle. ---- The imprisonment of the two hunger strikers 
is part of the totalitarian and authoritarian policy of Erdogan and his party (AKP). A 
political " ... that  it be established to the failed coup 15 th July, which organized a 
portion of high-ranking military officers accused by the state of participating in the 
Gülelen movement. From that moment on, Erdogan blames his political opponents for trying

high-ranking army staff, half the public sector, the judiciary and much of the police.

On the other hand it turns against the inner enemy, the pieces that struggle. It gives

in the streets of the left and anarchist fighters and organizations  {...}. He begins 
massive imprisonment and persecution of writers, journalists and even social media users, 
many Turkish and Kurdish militants from the Kurdish Democratic Party HDP, members of GRUP 
YURUM and anarchist fighters ... "

(Intergeographic Film Collective) will be held in Sept 29- Oct 01. During the 3 days 
festival, movie screenings from various anarchist perspectives will be accompanied by 
workshops and conferences. As well as uniting the audience and filmmakers to initiate 
discussions, CASK also aims to unite film makers working on diverse fields such as 
script-writing, cinematography, art direction, acting, montage, special fx or production 
to collectivize the filmmaking process.

The festival generally aims to create an anarchist aesthetic and film language against the 
mainstream, and the topics are chosen accordingly: reseizing the means, autonomy and 
resistance against neo-liberalism, deconstructing the oppression tools of the power elite, 
depersonalization and different practises of personification, creating alternative 
narratives etc... Movies that are focused on such topics (or deconstructing/ developing/ 
reconstructing them) are anticipated and of course new topics and discussions in the field 
are always welcomed.

We hope the festival will be as prolific as last year, focusing on DIY movies rather than 
cooperate productions.

Saturday 22 July and Youth Defence, the real bottom of the barrel of the anti-choice 
campaign, brought their roadshow to Kilkenny. They have embarrassing historical ties with 
neo-nazis and plenty of shady American dollars to pay for their slick corporate stall, 
glossy flyers and huge banners, mostly featuring mangled foetuses and scare tactic 
slogans. ---- Kilkenny may be a small town, but it still put up resistance to open 
misogyny, misinformation and intimidation. Faced with over a dozen Youth Defence 
activists, a small handful of Pro-Choice activists staged a silent protest in front of 
their stall. ---- They were directly confronted and shouted abuse by Youth Defence, but 
they held their ground and the community came out to support them. Locals were so shocked 
by the images used in the Youth Defence propaganda the gardaí were called and some of 
Youth Defence's more graphic images were confiscated by plainclothes officers. Apparently 
Kilkenny was the first time somebody took away their death porn.

We don't support the intervention of the gardaí here. The state, with its legal monopoly 
on use of force, interfering in a political dispute or protest is not on the same level as 
a group of normal people doing so. In this case the state happened to act against the 
interests of some bigoted people who represent the current religious political 
establishment and aim to destroy freedom. But in the vast, vast, majority of cases the 
state acts to defend to protect the establishment (that's what it's for) and limit our 
freedom.

So resorting to state intervention like this is a real Faustian bargain. The way around it 
is to take responsibility ourselves for political contests as a civic duty, rather than 
outsourcing that responsibility to the same institution which put people in jail for 
trying to stop the Iraq War. It takes more effort in the short term, but it leads to far 
more positive social change than calling on Big Brother.

In any case, fair play to the strong women in Kilkenny, and we are with you when you say:
Shame on YOUth Defence!

In this demonstration of France insoumise of 23 September, we want to address the 
activists gathered in Paris to discuss the construction of the balance of power 
indispensable to win. Make proposals and point out an error. ---- Lessons from defeats 
---- Nothing worse than denying the difficulties. The weight of unemployment and 
precariousness weighs on the vitality of the trade unions in each company and hinders the 
extension of strikes. The retreat of combative militant traditions also weighs. In order 
to restore confidence in the strength of collective struggle, we must learn the lessons of 
our failures in 2010 and 2016. First of all, let us admit that large massive 
demonstrations and repeated strike days are no longer enough to win. ---- The challenge is 
therefore to build a permanent contestation, carried out every day until victory. But how 
to reach the general strike in today's conditions ?

Strike, blockage, sabotage

The day of strike is all too often wasted trampling behind the sandwich trucks. On the 
contrary, it must be useful to reflect on the follow-up, the reinforcement and the 
acceleration of the mobilization, service by service, company by company, city by city. 
GAs in industrial zones and cities provide an opportunity to meet employees in other 
sectors and other unions. It is also the means to associate the precarious, the retired, 
the youth in actions complementary to the strike. And when the balance of power is too 
weak to declare the strike renewable, the most energetic teams must imagine other modes of 
action: blockages, filtering, slowing down and sabotage of economic activity.The 
self-management of struggles as close as possible to the people to allow everyone to find 
themselves there.

Unity and trade union independence

Often, it is also a matter of reconstructing the tools of our struggles, unions, 
associations, collective ... This implies a constant effort to ensure respect for the 
independence of these tools. For it is this independence which is the condition of the 
broadest gathering, of the unity of the camp of the workers and workers beyond the 
inevitable political divisions, sometimes the hatreds, forged in the electoral competition.

We have suffered too much from the hegemonic behaviors of the PCF in the time of its 
splendor so as not to be vigilant to the return of such aims . Political parties and their 
elected representatives can provide useful support for social struggles. They are welcome 
as long as they do not seek to impose their objectives, leaders and schedules.

Thus, for September 23, it was up to the unions to decide whether or not a Saturday 
demonstration against the Macron Orders was a good idea at this time of the mobilization 
schedule . But to impose September 23 by force could only aggravate the divisions in the

In this season of election frauds, all those who have subjected their influence to a 
greater or lesser mass of the people on the political scale. Everywhere people feed the 
electoral hype, and everybody is pounding for the savior of mankind! And the first victims 
of these electoral debates are the criminals themselves, the sovereign people I am 
devoting to these lines. ---- Of course, people, you are not aware of your crimes. You 
choose and you do not see that you cheat yourself and fall for yourself. Did you not know 
from the experience that the representatives and aliens you seek, and who are always your 
supporters, are liars, and they know that even if they want, they are incapable of doing 
something good for you? ---- And you know that, and you laugh and you choose to go on. 
Indeed, the rulers and agents always work and work for their own benefit and for those who 
help them to lure the well-being.

The well-known thinker Lev Tolstoy rightly judges legislators in his Letter to the Chicago 
Workers, where he deals with industrial crises and workers' representation in legislative 
chambers; says, among other things: "All this is nothing but the transfer of lawfulness - 
the preparation of a new, yet unknown, way of slavery. It is understandable, therefore, 
that the cause of slavery does not lie in one or the other law, but in the fact that

revolt, but you end up with new leaders and rulers.

Why do you let yourself be so controlled, robbed and slaved? You are the maker of 
everything, walnut, sowing, building, foreing, forging, feeding and dressing your 
oppressor, why do not you think about it to satisfy your hunger, why do you go ripped and 
you live in cages in narrow streets? Yes, why are you without footwear, shelter, even 
home? Why are you not your master? why obediently bend your back and serve others? How can 
you be subjected and enslaved? You are the maker of everything and you have nothing. 
Everything comes from you and you are nothing! No, we are wrong. You are a citizen, voter, 
recognizing law and authority; in your voice you sanctify all this misery and submissiveness!

You are a volunteer and obedient servant, a faithful subject licking blood-stained 
reprimands at the feet of your master. You are a policeman, a spy and a jailer; You are a 
loyal person and obediently pay taxes. You are a loyal official and a devoted servant, 
even you are your murderer. Why then do you complain and sue for your fate?

We, as free people, deprived of these prejudices, as anarchists, would hate you from the 
depths of our souls if we were not convinced that you were deceived, and if you did not 
exclaim ignorance and blind sincerity.

We hate you as we hate the government and other tyrants in whose hands you put your life 
and which you choose, support, nurture and protect with the bayonet blades, protect and 
celebrate with brutal violence and obstruct your voice and proud that your trap you choose 
yourself and thus voluntarily give up your human rights. - Yes, you, human, are 
shamelessly cheated. Political speech praises your maturity and flatters you. So be 
content with your fate, wait until you are shot in the next strike or massacred on the 
border of the state under the bloody shadow of your national flag.

It is also possible that you are proud of your stupidity; you are content with your 
tribulations, and you still think that all this slavery is more tolerable and safer than 
disdaining the laws and getting rid of all those trampolines and humiliations. So, prior 
to freedom, you prefer this misery. Your fear of the beauty of freedom, wide and unlimited 
- of which you have no idea of it - is the fear of an individual and social life without 
the law, watching you like a shadow, and you are more than satisfied with a dirty den and 
a prison. And for a long time, you will be swept in the dust and the priesthood like a 
worm without the courage to rise. You are overwhelmed by your sovereign authority, blinded 
by the promises of the candidates and "your officials" and the leaders who promise you all 
to cheat and betray you tomorrow, and you are proud of them and, like other times, this 
year, with music and fireworks, you will be delighted with the victory of one or another 
government political party. Therefore, perhaps you do not deserve a better fate, because 
you are not aware of your value and masculine independence, perhaps you are not even able 
to worship complete freedom.

So just call! Fill the urns with the voting paper. We have full confidence in your 
candidates. Give yourself all your lords.

But stop once with whining and wailing. Take at least as much courage and acknowledge that 
you are an accomplice to your misery. Perhaps after a long and bitter experience, you will 
recognize that those who, by their slings of jail only, are mistaken for wanting to live 
freely and freely in an equal society, and whom you consider to be crazy today, since they 
have also freed themselves from the government of both divine and governmental jealousy; 
who have sacrificed all their time, peace, and lives for their ideals - they were right.
