The Red and Black Coordination is created to internationally co-ordinate the actions of
the unions following the tradition of self-management, anti-authoritarian,
anarchosyndicalist and federalist internationalist labor movement. This link stands in
exchanging informations and developing analysis and projects to strenghten the
self-organization of workers; the co-ordination of strikes or any other actions aimed at
achieving common goals. Doing so in order to facilitate not only the immediate granting of
material benefits and social rights but also to promote class consciousness. The Red and
Black Coordination does not belong or owe anything to any political party and claims for
autonomy from parliamentary politics and the recovery of individual responsibility of
workers in their emancipation from wage labor and exploitation, whether it be exercised by
employers or the state.

The Red and Black Coordination supports all self-organized autonomous struggles of workers
without putting limits on both the media as to the strategies used in the defense of their
claims.

Communiqué of the group of the Paris region of the Coordination of the Anarchist Groups
following the aggression of feminist militants by members of the service of order (SO) of
the CGT on September 12, 2017 ---- The CGA-RP unambiguously denounced the collective
aggression carried out by members of the CGT's security service against five feminist
activists during the union demonstration on September 12 in Paris. Three comrades were
injured, including one belonging to the CGA and the Antipatriarcal Front. Their only
wrong: to have reacted to a sexist insult by a member of the SO of the CGT (1). Without an
immediate feminist solidarity, the balance could have been much heavier. ---- These acts
of violence are unacceptable and have no place in the trade union movement or elsewhere.
Nothing can justify them. They recall that the militant spaces are not protected against
sexist attacks; daily and massive violence to maintain the patriarchal order.

The masculine and anti-feminist solidarity of a part of the SO questions the organization
and the methods used by it. We call for solidarity with the women concerned, including by
calling on the militants and members of the CGT to disassociate themselves from these
practices and act accordingly.

Against patriarchy: feminist self-defense

The feminist struggle is a constant struggle and must take place both within our militant
frameworks and outside. Today as yesterday, we will continue to defend feminist
self-defense as the first bulwark against male violence. No patriarchal, verbal or
physical violence will undermine our determination to build a new society based on
equality and solidarity, rid of patriarchy and all forms of domination.

A charismatic activist who had passed through prison and exile, a formidable orator and
warlord, she inspired terror for the whites and mistrust for the reds. Having become an
interlope and folkloric character in Soviet culture, it has been rediscovered in recent
years. ---- Maria Nikiforova (32) was arrested in April 1918, during the great repression
of anarchism. But in Ukraine, libertarians weigh heavily, and escapes capital punishment.
It was the whites who shot her in September 1919. ---- Nestor Makhno, who was the soul of
the insurgent peasant army of Ukraine between 1918 and 1921, has not usurped its place in
the memory of anarchism and the Russian Revolution. But it must be known that in the
representation of the Makhnovshchina by the USSR, Makhno was often flanked by a female
alter-ego: "  Banditka Maroussia  ". The Soviet collective memory has retained them as an
infernal couple of highwaymen, thirsty for blood and rapine.

Sometimes depicted as a missed boy, sometimes as a trail of the countryside, enraged and
violent, Maroussia really existed. Her real name was Maria Grigorievna Nikifirova, and her
life is at the very opposite of her caricature.

 From terrorism to exile

Born in 1885 in Alexandrovsk, in the Ekaterinoslav region, she spent her childhood less
than a hundred kilometers from Gouliai Polié, which became the "  capital  " of the
Makhnovshchina in southern Ukraine. Daughter of a veteran officer of the war of 1877-1878
against Turkey, nothing apparently predisposes her to become revolutionary. That is what
she is doing, from the age of 16.

However, interpretations differ on this first commitment. Historians close to the
libertarian trend [1]situate it within the bezmotivn anarcho-communism (ie "  without
motive  ": practicing undifferentiated violence against the rich). The publications from
the Russian Archives relate it rather to the socialist-revolutionary current [2].

One thing is certain: Nikifirova practices propaganda by the fact, and multiplies violent
actions. In 1908, she was sentenced to twenty years hard labor for the killing of a
municipal official Alexandrovsk, but she managed to escape from the prison of women of
Moscow on the night of 30 June to 1 st  July 1909 .

The paths of escape will lead Maria, in stages, to flee the Russian empire by the east. A
period of almost ten years of exile then opens, from the United States to France via
England, Germany, Spain and Switzerland, as opportunities and encounters. In this
discovery of the world, she forged her deep political convictions, becoming definitely
anarchist. At the end of 1913, she participated in the conference of Russian
anarcho-communists in exile, and gave a few articles to the Russian libertarian press in
New York (Golos Trouda) and Chicago (Vperiod).

When the war broke out in 1914, it stood behind Kropotkin to defend the sacred union of
anarchism with the Russo-Anglo-French camp against what was identified as the supreme
danger: German imperialism.

An anarchist warlord

One can note in this choice what seems to be a characteristic feature of the personality
of Maria Nikifirova: the taste for the armed action.

On her return to Russia in 1917, she was active in the Communist Anarchist Federation of
Petrograd, and during the July days she went to harangue the sailors at Kronstadt to
incite them to mutiny. After the failure of the insurrection, she returned to
Alexandrovsk. It was there that she learned the putsch of October.

In the Ukraine, Maroussia, as she calls herself, sets up a battalion of anarchist
partisans, the Volnaya Boevaïa Druzhina ("  Free and Voluntary Military Detachment  ")
which has an armored train decorated with black flags, confronts the counter-
revolutionaries and multiplies expropriations-redistributions.

Her qualities as organizer, speaker [3]and her bellicose character are spotted by Vladimir
Antonov-Ovseïenko, who assumes the Bolshevik military command in Ukraine. He considers it
Bolshevik-compatible and will intervene on several occasions in his favor during his legal
setbacks. For his part, Nikifirova and his men allied themselves with the Red Guards to
overthrow the Alexandrovsk pronounist soviet and substitute for it a revolutionary soviet.

In Soviet culture, Makhno is generally portrayed as a drunken  tyrant , and " Banditka
Maroussia  " as his companion. This cartoon is from Pervaya Konarmia, an album on the
Civil War published in 1937.
With Nestor Makhno

The divorce came in April 1918, when the Bolshevik government broke the anarchist movement
. Her excesses - acts of looting - are used against her. She is arrested and the Red Army
begins to disarm her supporters.

The anarchist Apollo Kareline defends the All-Russian Executive Committee of the Soviets,
but it is mainly Antonov-Ovseyenko who protects it. In September 1918, after two trials,
she was only sentenced to a mild sentence: the six-month deprivation of the possibility of
exercising functions within the soviets.

Between January and spring 1919, in full red terror against the anarchists, she rejoined
Makhno again for a few months, assuming various positions within the insurrectionary army
he set up. The Russian Archives suggest that it could have played an intermediate role
between the Red Army and the Black Army and that it should be used for secret and delicate
missions.

It was during one of these risky missions in the Crimea, in preparation for an attack on
the staff of Denikin, that she was arrested in Sevastopol on 11 August 1919. The whites
took the time judge before shooting it, in mid-September 1919.

Maroussia is not, therefore, this harpy caricatured by Soviet propaganda ; she is
doubtless not a saint (a "  Joan of Arc of anarchism  " as her English biographer calls
it). In the light of the Russian archives, a thorough historical study is still to be
carried out on Maria Nikifirova, an anarchist, speaker and indomitable warrior, tossed by
the contrary winds blowing on the Russian Revolution.

The lawsuit of the ASE is still in progress with the basic aim of imposing "democratic
normality" and consolidating the theory of the two extremes. At the same time, the
re-emergence of paratrooping battalion battalions, the murderer Roupakia is found in his
home, while trying to de-monopolize and suppress the anti-fascist struggle on the streets
through the strike of protests and the persistent persecution of anarchists and
anti-fascists. ---- ... THE FASHION HAS BEEN AFFECTED BY EUROPE AS AMERICA ... ---- We do
not forget the murder of Pavlos Fissas on September 18, 2013 in Keratsini. We do not
forget the murder of Shehzad Luqman in Petralona. We do not forget the recent murder of
Heather Heyer in Charlottesville, USA. We do not forget hundreds of murderous attacks on
refugees and immigrants. Not even the dozens of rabid attacks on squats, self-managed

Sunday, November 19th, the Domela Nieuwenhuis Day will be held at the Domela Nieuwenhuis
Museum in Heerenveen again. This time it will be a special day, because then an exhibition
will be opened dedicated to the commitment of the painter Melle. Below is more
information. ---- The day looks like this: ---- 13.00 hours: tour of Bert Altena through
the Museum ---- 14.30 pm: lectures to open the exhibition by Bert Altena about the
political engagement of Melle and Koos Levy, the niece of Melle, about Melle as an artist.
---- The exhibition has been opened. Why this exhibition is organized by the Domela
Nieuwenhuis Museum and what is being discussed in detail is explained in the following
press release. ---- Melle's engagement (1908-1976), visionary painter

On 19 November, the Ferdinand Domela Nieuwenhuis Museum in Heerenveen opens an exhibition
about the artist and painter Melle (1908-1976). Melle is often seen as a surrealist, but
himself he called himself a visionary painter. Melle's work puts many people in front of
riddles, even experts. His visions, the references to his youth in the Amsterdam armory
district of Wittenburg, ships involved, countless animals and minutely drawn or painted
plants, fallussen and vagina's. What did that mean, also offset by the time he lived? Did
experiences from his youth play an important part?

To find out more about his young years and development of his work, the Ferdinand Domela
Nieuwenhuis Museum opens the doors for an exhibition of the artist. Melle's work is in
place. Melle's father was a fervent supporter of the social anarchist Ferdinand Domela
Nieuwenhuis. Anarchist ideas got Melle and his two sisters were poured into the pots. In
their puberty, those ideas were further formed by the anarchist youth group around the
magazine De Moker. The drawings made by Melle for this group's magazine have always
remained in the shadow of his postwar work. This also applies to the countless political
drawings he made in the 1930's. Anti-colonialism, anti-fascism, pacifism and love for
nature, which were strengthened during his maturity,

The exhibition specifically looks at what these pre-war views can be found in Melle's
post-war work and how the pre-war commitment after 1945 has undergone a transformation. To
this end, the artist's large and varied artist's work is done: drawings, charts,
watercolors, paintings and embroidery. The pre-war work that had less attention until
recently is emphatically present.

Melle himself has spelled the constituents through statements such as, " My work will be a
big charge, which is presented in a well-arranged romantic way. '

The exhibition runs until March 5, 2018.

Today (14.09.2017) another press conference was held in the center of Poznan with
employees dismissed for taking action to improve working conditions and pay at Volkswagen
factories. Yesterday, more than 2,000 signatures were filed on the company's board of
directors on the reinstatement of workers kicked off in August. All employees who are not
afraid to sign us thank you. We want the management to know that the crew disagrees with
such treatment of the people who make up this establishment and that this situation will
not happen again in the future. ---- At the conference, unionists informed the media of
the support the commission has received lately from other unions in Poland and abroad.
Passers-by was given a leaflet reminding the influence of companies such as Volkswagen on
the development of local employment relations and encouraging workers to work together to
improve their lives. We publish the leaflet below:

05.09 Three employees of Volkswagen Poznan - Andrzej Sobok, Sebastian Humski and Lukasz
Jasinski - were dismissed. This demonstration of the company's management strength had to
close the mouth of its employees. Reliefs, however, did not stop the VW crew from
establishing the ZZ Worker's Committee.

According to a spokeswoman for the company, the reason for the layoffs was "unethical
comments in social media." These are calls for self-organization of employees to end the
ongoing deterioration of working conditions. These entries are not unethical in terms of
generally accepted ethical standards. The absurd reasons for the dismissal of three
employees by the company confirm that the real reason for this was the desire to set up a
trade union.

In 2016 the Volkswagen factory in Poznan was awarded the "Employer Friendly Employee"
certificate, which was received by President Andrzej Duda. The certificate indicates that
the company is concerned about the stability of employment, compliance with health and
safety regulations and the right to trade unions. The current management activities,
however, deny this. In Poland, dismissing employees for union activities is not uncommon.
VW confirms this, and worse yet, being one of the largest employers in the region has the
effect of undermining employment standards in other compan
