The latest appointment of another Singaporean to be the dean of NUS
School of Public Health is a sign that Singaporeans have started to
rediscover themselves and growing more confident in their own abilities
after a couple of decades of worshipping fake and dubious foreign
talents. For two or three decades there was this sinking feeling that
Singaporeans are really daft and useless people
