Position: Agricultural Facilitator
Project: United Nations High Commission for Refugees – Integrated Livelihoods Project (UNHCR –ILP) Graduation Pilot

Location: Meheba (1) and Mayukwayukwa (1) refugee settlements
Effective Date: 1st September, 2017
1. Purpose:
The main responsibilities of the Agricultural Facilitators of the (UNHCR –ILP) Graduation pilot is to mobilize refugee households to effectively participate in agricultural interventions and provide extension services in crop and livestock production so as to sustainably increase household food and income security amongst the target communities. The Agriculture facilitators will be responsible for implementation of project activities at field level and will therefore ensure that there is effective interface between the UNHCR –ILP and the Persons of Concern (PoC) .

1.  Purpose:
The Enterprise Facilitators’ primary responsibility in the UNHCR-ILP Graduation Pilot is to mobilize refugee households to effectively participate in rural enterprise development initiatives so as to increase household incomes through expanded agricultural rural enterprise options and access to better financial services and products to meet their basic socio-economic needs. The Enterprise Facilitators will be responsible for implementation of project activities at field level and will therefore ensure that there is effective interface between the UNHCR – ILP  and its beneficiaries.

1. Purpose:
The Project Coordinator of the UNHCR-ILP Graduation Pilot has the responsibility of providing overall leadership and technical oversight in project implementation. The Project Coordinator (PC) will be responsible for ensuring that project activities are well planned, monitored and implemented in order to achieve the set objectives of the UNHCR-ILP Graduation Pilot. The PC will be the representative and point of contact person for the UNHCR-ILP within the refugee settlements charged with the critical responsibility of building and managing relationships with provincial and district level government partners, community leadership, local key stakeholders, other civil society organisations, private sector organisations and; with UNHCR .
Position: Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant

1.  Purpose:
The Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant will be providing support in monitoring and evaluation of the (UNHCR-ILP) Graduation Pilot in the two refugee settlements Meheba and Mayukwayukwa. The incumbent will be responsible for overall M&E and learning needs of the project and will come up with findings based on real data to show performance of the project.
Position: Social Worker

Location: Mayukwayukwa Refugee Settlement (1) Meheba Refugee Settlement (1)
Effective Date: 1st September, 2017
1. Purpose:
The Social Worker’s primary responsibility in the UNHCR-ILP Graduation Pilot is to mobilize refugee households to effectively participate in project activities and access related services so as to increase their self-reliance through market oriented agricultural production and value chain and business development, cooperative development, rural finance and livelihood resilience. The Social Worker will be responsible for implementation of project activities at field level and will therefore ensure that there is effective interface between the UNHCR – ILP and its beneficiaries.
Obligations:
It is expected that the applicants will;
  • Carry out these accountabilities within the operating and process frameworks that apply to the whole of Self Help Africa and the UNHCR;
  • Abide by all the set rules and regulations regarding the protection of People of Concern within the programme operational areas as outlined in the Convention and Protocol relating to the status of refugees;
  • Work together with all key stakeholders – line and functional to ensure UNHCR objectives, mission and vision are met;
  • Exemplify the Self Help Africa Standards of Integrity, Purpose & Values.
