I am interested to join efforts in scientific partnership. I can measure toxicity (including phytotoxicity, tests with filter-feeders, other types of toxicity) of water-soluble chemicals and nanoparticles (using bioassays, e.g., phytotest or tests with aquatic plants, microorganisms, invertebrates). I am interested in having a scientific cooperation with chemists who measure concentrations of chem. elements in biological samples, phytomass etc.; am interested to study interactions of chem. elements with biogenic samples. The university was established by the Botswana International University of Science and Technology Act of 2005. Construction began in December 2009,[3] the contractors being China Civil Engineering Construction. Phase one of the project, worth US$61.5 million (R495.6 million), was funded by the Botswana Government. Spanning two years, the phase included the construction of the administration block, halls of residence for nearly 300 students and houses for 70 staff, laboratories, auditoriums,indoor sports arena, a student centre and book shop, a clinic, and classrooms.[4] Enrollment at the university began in March 2011[5] and the first semester commenced in August of the same year. The project will accommodate 6,000 students.

Explanation of novelty and usefulness:
until now, gold was considered as a non-toxic metal, a non-toxic chemical element. This is a first paper to report toxicity of gold, using green plants as test-organisms. This is a new example of how important is the size of the particles of the metal. In the paper, Ostroumov et al. (2014) have shown that when gold is in the form of nanoparticles, it becomes toxic to this organism, an aquatic plant species.

Explanation of choice of the green higher plant species:
this particular plant species is very common. It is one of common species in water bodies (ponds, lakes, reservoirs), with a cosmopolitan distribution, it is native to all continents except Antarctica.
