It's hard to believe. On Thursday, it will be Cookie's 4th adoptoversary.
After spending the first year and a half of her life alone, tied up outside, she got whisked away from everything she knew, loaded into the "pooch coach" we had at the time and driven far, far away.
Not once she complained. Not once she cried. Not once she looked back.
She had to learn how to walk on man-made surfaces and what stairs were. She didn't have to learn how to get by having a pack she was actually a part of but she did have to learn how to handle being the most spoiled dog in the Universe. It's a tough job but somebody has to do it.
Jasmine must be very proud of Cookie.
Jasmine put a lot of work into training me to be the dog mom I am today. I imagine she would have hated seeing all that work going to waste. With Cookie, she doesn't have to worry about that.
Cookie knows how to use her puppy eyes and charm to get what she wants. Not only Cookie makes sure that mom keeps up all the good works Jasmine taught her but teaches mom new tricks as well. Mom has learned how to run through the bush and all kinds of terrain, how to help with hunting small rodents and how to be a frog spotter.
"Keep up the good work, mom. And don't slack off."
