POSITION: Information Technology Assistant (ITA)

WORK SCHEDULE: Full Time 40 hours/Week
STARTING SALARY: ZMW 152,500/Annum
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
This position reports directly to the Information Technology Specialist (ITS) with technical guidance provided by the International Technical Support group in Washington, DC. The ITA is the primary contact for first-tier IT technical support, staff training, online content management, and policy compliance at Peace Corps Zambia.. The position will be based in Lusaka, Zambia with occasional travel to provincial offices and training centers.
Major duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to: User Training; Customer Technical Support; Network Management; Online Content Management; Administrative and act as IT Specialist backup during his/her absence.
Required Qualifications
In order to be selected for this position, the applicant must be a Zambian Citizen, must not have been employed in intelligencerelated activities, and must submit a typed cover letter and CV that clearly documents how they meet each of the following mandatory requirements;
  • Minimum two year Diploma in Computer Science/Studies or Computer Information Systems, including Certification in at least one Microsoft paths such as MCP, MSCE, MCITP or MCSA.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ professional work experience in providing front end ICT technical support including technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows on both Desktops and Servers to an office with at least 25 users.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Server 2012R2 and Active Directory including demonstrated ability to use server based images to deploy to clients over an enterprise network.
  • Must have demonstrated ability to offer end user training in (MS Office applications Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Must have a working knowledge in social media and online content management.
