PLANT OPERATORS – ELEVEN (11) POSITIONS
JOB PURPOSEOperate pumping station by running pumps, monitor reservoir water levels, pressures, water flows and chlorinates water.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate, monitor and regulate the pumping units in a booster station to conform to set operating procedures.
- Carries out hourly checks of water levels in reservoirs, inflows, outflows, pressures and regulates valves to optimize pumping operation.
- Chlorinates water according to prescribed dosage rates before pumping to consumers
- Record all plant operations in the log book and ensure proper and safe keeping of records.
- Cleans pumping units, pipes, floors in the pumping house and surroundings
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- School Certificate or GCE
- Craft Certificate in Water Operations or its equivalent
- One (1) years relevant work experience
