Concise explanation:
As a result of his multi-year research, this author formulated and published a new theory of ecosystem mechanisms to maintain water quality (theory of water self-purification). This theory demonstrated a huge vital relevance, importance of a number of biological factors that were dramatically underestimated before. As the new theory demonstrated in a systematic way, their role to water quality is huge. The teory predicts that in future they will be taken to equation to a higher degree than it is now.
