Dear friends, Humane Society International needs your help right now to shut down a dog meat farm in Yesan, South Korea before the country's Bok Nal begins, the summer days of highest dog meat consumption. Please read the urgent message below, and consider making a donation to help support this lifesaving rescue. Thank you for your compassion, The Care2 Petitions Team |
Luc, We found Emily locked in a barren cage on a dog meat farm in Yesan, South Korea. She had been living in isolation for months, her paws painful from the wire floor and her severe case of mange left untreated. Worst of all was the look of hopelessness in her downcast eyes. She was a broken soul. With only a small window between safety and slaughter for Bok Nal, we plan to shut down this operation for good. Bok Nal is a terrible time for dogs. More than one million innocent dogs will be violently killed for human consumption—often by electrocution—during the hottest days of summer. Most are young dogs less than a year old. Your gift will help us shut down this farm that has supplied Bok Nal markets for years, save more dogs in the future, advance our fight against the dog meat trade across Asia and support all our campaigns against cruelty to animals. With your support, Emily can escape a terrible fate that no dog should experience. Donate now. You are truly making a difference for Emily and others like her. Thank you for your compassion. Sincerely, Adam Parascandola Director of Animal Protection and Crisis Response Humane Society International |
