Position: M&E Manager (01)

Contract Type: 1 year, renewable
Supervises: M&E Assistants
BCP is seeking a dynamic, talented, hard-working individual M&E Manager to oversee all M&E activities in all REDD+ projects. This position involves quarterly visits to all sites in Eastern Province.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Management of data collection system with tools that are used and understood by all users.
  • Conducting data audits.
  • Site visits per quarter (supervision of field based M&E Assistants)
  • 100% reporting requirement on time.
  • Data Audit.
  • Quarterly reports done on time with all reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance through regular internal data audits
  • Data collection management systems in place across all sites.
  • 100% data support documents maintained in line with standards.
  • M&E plan updated on annual basis to align with work plans for CFP.
  • EMMP in place, updated on min annual basis, 100% reporting requirements.
  • All correct figures double checked prior to submission (Deadlines; Quarterly and Annually).
Position: Conservation Manager (01)
Location: Mfuwe / REDD+ Site (HQ)
Project: USAID Community Forests Program (CFP)
Reporting To: Conservation Coordinator
Contract Type: 1 year, renewable
Supervises: Conservation Officers
BCP is seeking a dynamic, talented, hard-working individual to serve as a Conservation Manager for REDD+ activities at field-based REDD+ projects in Mfuwe. CM shall oversee all conservation activities for all sites with a sole objective of achieving reduced deforestation in REDD+ protected areas. This position involves frequent travel in all project sites to ensure congruence in policy formulation and adherence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate effective security systems and plans, in close association with the partners, including local communities, and to oversee the implementation thereof.
  • Oversee all aspects of landscape-level REDD+ management and planning processes, including implementing land management, security operations, capacity building, community and stakeholder engagement, forest monitoring coordination, biodiversity monitoring systems, GRZ engagement, fire management and infrastructure development.
  • Ensure conservation sensitization through Community Engagement Team is effective.
  • Ensure sound enforcement of all signed REDD+ agreements in all sites.
  • Monthly Biodiversity reports/dashboard and maps.
  • Monthly cutline and firebreak reports. General maintenance of the eco-system
  • Weekly achievement/plans bullets for all Cons Officers.
  • Develop and implement fire management plan for the CFA in Mfuwe site
