So this has been another great week. The weather has been good and the
sky has been super bright lately making it hard to sleep at night but
I love it at the same time. Just trying to soak it up before the Dark
Night comes again.
This week has been awesome. Last Monday we ended up going mountain
biking and that was fun. The trails we hit were insane though I
thought I was going to die but we didn't and we had a good time. The
only part that sucked was my chain came off at one point and it was
down by this little pond thing and the mosquitoes were out to get me I
couldn't believe them they ate me alive. So this last week has been
full of itching and scratching, but eventually they went away. Overall
the trip was super fun.
Through out the week it has been super busy we had some really good
lessons. We met with Carrie and she's awesome. We helped prepare her
for her interview and we started to plan her baptism for this
Saturday. We are meeting with her again tonight and finishing that up.
She is super excited and so are we. Also we had two lessons with Adele
this week and she is preparing to be baptized on the 12th of August so
we are super excited for that as well. She awesome and every time we
go over she has dinner all set and ready for us. She is so sweet and
awesome I love her.
On Wednesday we went over to the old people home and celebrated
Christmas in July with them. It was weird haha we had turkey dinner
and we sang Christmas Carols and it was fun but it just wasn't
Christmas time so it was weird. In the pic below I'm hanging with my
man Joe. He's my favorite. He's German and he doesn't participate in
anything haha but he is hilarious. But yea it was a good time.
Umm so the biggest thing we did this week is we had a big BBQ that we
have been planning for Pioneer Day. We are doing it in hopes of
finding new people to teach. So we have been super busy with that as
well as going around and inviting as many people as we could to that.
It was awesome. We made the burgers by hand and then we had members
bring sides and the food turn out was awesome. Then after that we
watched the movie meet the Mormons. There were about 6 non members
there and they all stayed and watched the entire movie. So we are
hoping that some of them will be interested in learning more about the
church... I'll keep you posted
So not much else went one. I wish I had some awesome stories to tell
but not this week. Maybe something cool will happen next week. Anyway
