ICT SOFTWARE SUPPORT SPECIALIST 1 ECZ3 LUSAKA
Reporting to the Manager- ICT Infrastructure, the ICT Software Support Specialist will provide technical support to computer users, assisting them with hardware and software problems; and also undertake the development of computer based solutions to meet the business requirements and automation of procedures in the Institution.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new IT software projects and initiatives to support and enhance ECZ operations
- Identify opportunities that can improve efficiency of ECZ processes
- Manage content for the ECZ website
- Set up equipment to be used for Data Capture at Marking Centres
- Resolve problems reported On the help desk
- Troubleshoot and resolves software problems as they occur:
- Install Software and ensure that all installed software is standardized across the institution ,
- Install Software System patches. updates and Antivirus updates to keep the client
- Computers safe trom malware and virus
- Document and update Software Inventory:
- Maintain and ensure that SMS Gateway Server is available and attends to queries from clients,
- Undertake backup tasks in liaison with the IT Infrastructure Manager; and
- Identify skills gap among the users and prepares tailored training or other interventions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- School Certificate or its equivalent with 5 Credits or better (including English and Mathematics):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Studies or Information Technology;
- Minimum of 4 years experience in Information Technology; and
- Must be a member of a relevant Inforrnation Technology professional body,
