Group Engineering Manager
The incumbent will be heading the KCM maintenance and engineering function and achieve organisational goals through developing and implementing strategies, systems by planning, organising, setting targets, directing, controlling and monitoring of best-in-class engineering practices at open pit, underground, processing plants like Smelter, Tail leaching plant ,Concentrators while driving adoption of company policy and SHEQ procedures..
The successful candidate will be required to:
a. Ensure adherence to safety standards and mandate of Zero Fatalities and Zero Lost Time Injuries, and Zero Discharge.
b. Develop and review maintenance policies, procedures & specifications to improve maintenance planning and scheduling based on OEM and historical data (FMEA/RCA/5-Why’s).c. Development of SOP/SMP for optimization of PM’s on all critical equipment - maintenance, repair and operating spares process management redesign to achieve JIT quality spares on site for spares management.
d. Implementation of best-in-class mining engineering practices including training of personnel in the use and application of new and improved technologies, mining methods etc.
e. Mentoring & training of engineers and training all maintenance engineers in new proactive maintenance approaches
f. Ensure control of changes to equipment, plant and support infrastructure (e.g. SCADA/DCS/Air Lines etc) are documented and approved.
g. Measure and continuously optimize the maintenance process through analysis of trends of KPIs, Benchmark with other companies, Implementation of structures for the identification of short-comings in maintenance standards and practices through field observations and improve MTBF and MTTR
h. Ensure the overall maintenance Expenditure for the company within the BP Budget & Inventory control across the Units.

Qualifications
· Bachelors /Masters in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience
· 18 plus years of experience with predominant experience in mechanised mining
operations in underground, open pit and the process plants.
Knowledge
· Knowledge of the international (ISO) quality, safety and environmental management standards.
