Dear friends, My brother Yon has always been my role model, and the person I admire the most in the world. He is now in prison in Venezuela just for his peaceful activism. Even though Yon was ordered to be released, he is still trapped behind bars. My family feels imprisoned as well, since our hearts and thoughts are always with him. Since his arrest, I have not been able to live as usual. I don’t sleep well at night from worry and guilt. The only thing that keeps me going is the hope that my brother will be released, along with all those unjustly imprisoned in Venezuela. The love I feel for my brother is my engine to continue, but also the desire I have to see Venezuela free from violence and repression. Add your name to demand Yon’s freedom. From the first day that Yon was arrested, I have shared his message of peace and freedom.
