ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT
Within the Private Sector Partnership (PSP), the Strategy and Growth Section provides strategic and technical analysis support to embed PSP excellence in national & regional programmes and ensure that PSP achieves high revenue growth in the coming years at an optimal level of performance. The Associate PSP Officer (Analysis and Research) will operate in a context where the section is developing a number of key projects aiming at improving PSP level of insight into fundraising performance and identifying fundraising opportunities to build stronger PSP operations. Improved analytical environment and outputs will ultimately contribute to define the best possible long term growth targets and help PSP network reach these targets.
ESSENTIAL MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- A University degree (BA) in business/marketing, social sciences or a related discipline plus at least 4 years¿ previous relevant work experience (2 years with advanced university degree) involving extensive use of database systems.
- Proven experience in global and country market and business analysis (ideally in a not-for-profit context but not essential).
- Proven expertise and up-to-date knowledge in all major database systems and Business intelligence tools existing and global suppliers leading in the area for potential consultation in the future.
- Proven experience with comprehensive Business reporting, benchmarking and performance evaluation based on return on investment, attrition rates and life-time value (ideally in a not-for-profit context but not essential).
- Excellent knowledge of English (written/oral/comprehension). Highly developed drafting ability in English.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES
- Excellent analytical and conceptual skills and strong communication and presentation skills (both verbal and written).
- Computer skills with particular reference to database management, business intelligence and CRM tools commonly used in the industry, data mining as well as proficiency in word, excel, access and PowerPoint.
- Fluency in other analytical tools e.g. Microsoft Dynamics CRM, IBM Cognos and SAP BW.
- In-depth understanding and intuition of the strategic implications of fundraising metrics and data.
- Knowledge of other European and / or non-European languages where PSP fundraises is an asset.
