Among main achievement:
- creation of a new ecological science, namely, biochemical ecology;
- formulation of a consistent ecological theory of iimproving water quality (theory of water self-purification);
- discovery of environmental hazards of non-lethal concentrations of synthetic detergents and surfactants as disruptors of water filtration function in aquatic ecosystems;
- scientific justification of necessity to include surfactants on the list of priority pollutants;
- new criteria of environmental hazard of chemicals;
- new definition of the fundamental terms, ecosystem and biogeocoenosis;
- identification, discovery and conceptual analysis of the third type of the matter (the chemical substances) in the biosphere, in addition to the living matter and non-alive matter;
