JTI Leaf Zambia Limited (JTI) is a tobacco leaf subsidiary of Japan Tobacco Incorporated. JTI has an agronomy Development and Extension Training (ADET) Centre located in Chisamba, Zambia where prospective trainees can primarily learn about tobacco production extension services for small scale providers and national cropping programs.
ADET is now enrolling Leaf Production Trainees to commence training in August 2017.
Program Details
- The duration of the course is 10 months
- The program is based on theoretical and practical training including field trips to JTIs small scale production areas
- The trainee will be provided with accommodation, meals and training

The entry requirements are as follows:
Education
- Full Grade 12 certificate
- Minimum of a certificate in Agriculture or equivalent
- Basic computer skills
Behaviour Traits
- Team player, focused, driven, disciplined, good communicator, have a willingness to learn, self-motivated, results orientated and passionate about agriculture.
Other
- A valid motorcycle license would be an added advantage
