Wine Festival, Limassol 2017
Limassol has earned the reputation as the "Wine capital of Cyprus", mainly due to the Wine Festival, which takes place every year in the city park across the street from the waterfront.
It was first held in 1961, as a tribute to the island's winemaking tradition, dedicated to the God of Wine Dionysos and the Goddess of Beauty and Love Aphrodite.
Here you can taste the variety of local wines from large and small wineries, and traditional Cypriot food, enjoy the perfomance of different artistic groups.
There is a small entrance fee, but inside all the wine is free - see below for ticket prices.
This year the Wine Festival will be held on 30/08/17 – 10/09/2017. Open from 7pm to 11pm each day and until 1130pm on a Friday and Saturday.
