To be responsible for the Grade 1 listed royal palace accommodating around 250 staff and the Director-General’s official residence both in central London, you must have a first or higher degree or equivalent in a built environment related discipline; IOSH Managing Safely qualification with PRINCE 2 or equivalent; and Membership of the IFMA and/or the BIFM. Your experience must include managing property and facilities services at a senior level in a comparable high profile organisation.
Providing support on the full range of non-IT related building, property and facilities services including building maintenance, contract management, security, office support services, environmental and H&S management, conferences & events along with property and space management services, you will be making a valuable contribution to the effective running of the Commonwealth Secretariat.
As Head, you will lead, direct, manage and provide strategic direction to your team, setting and maintaining key standards of performance, metrics and operational procedures while continuously improving delivery and reducing the overall cost-base. Also, you will provide property advisory services for our offices in Geneva and New York.
