Dear Buwdah, I really enjoyed your post and will take to heart the intent of your posting as I believe it to be true.
If I may to add to your consciousness intent I would add this concept or idea.
"Do no Harm + Abundance Mentality = Instills Greater Unity of Community
When one sees the folly or perceived deficiency in another, it is only because that folly or deficiency is nested or embedded in our own psyche or consciousness just below the surface of our own knowing or awareness. We don't see our own forest for our own trees. We can't....we need others to see it and tactfully tell us in order for us to change. Judge not, less ye be judged, is true.
The ego needs to place blame on an other to justify its own worthiness and correctness. It is a conditioning that we have grown up with. When something goes awry and we are the culprit, we immediately go to a position of defending ourselves by blaming it on someone else. It is a learned behavior we see from others and we adopt it because it seems to work.
As a child we love cookies. Mother cooks a batch of these cookies and leaves them out to cool. We sneak into the kitchen and take a few and retreat to our safe haven, our bedroom, and we eat them.
Mother finds the empty space on the cookies sheet and yells out, “who took the cookies?” Johnny goes in the kitchen and with chocolate smudges on the corner of his mouth and says, “I'm a good boy, mommy, I didn't take them.” Little Johnny knows he is guilty, but says this to avoid taking responsibility for his actions, he fears he might loose love. It is a learned behavior and is used to get out of trouble. Growing up does not get rid of this behavior and is why we have judges and jails.
If we are to participate in the better world where peace and joy abound and we live the law, “do no harm,” we would not only admit we did do something wrong but we would seek to rectify and bring peace to the situation by giving appropriate compensation. We can do this because we are Abundant.
The abundance mentality complements, “Do no harm.” As they go hand in hand and we include this knowingness in our consciousness, then we participate as masters in our community – as ones who can be trusted to do the right thing.
The next level of mastery in taking responsibility in our lives, would be found in a situation where someone accuses us of an impropriety that we did not do. We would set things right by telling the truth, however we would look to ourselves to see if indeed we might be complicit to some extent: IE, we had the right of way but we were driving over the speed limit. We would then allow ourselves the opportunity to go deeper in our cleansing and releasing process and find the greater good that would ensue.
Taking responsibility is really good, but becoming a master of taking responsibility is better. Living from that reality creates unity of consciousness on a higher universal plane where joy and happiness abound. I believe the abundance mentality coupled with do no harm, is where the higher road is taking us. I see it happening and take full responsibility to perform my labors with integrity and love, as we receive our precious gift and move forward to the Greater Unity of Community.
Even more than before,.....I AM...
