G7 Leaders: Condemn
Syria's War Crimes NOW!
Syria's War Crimes NOW!
| ||||
Dear friends, The Syrian government has built a crematorium at its infamous military prison, described as a "human slaughterhouse," because it can no longer dispose of the mounting bodies quickly enough. The world has been here before. We cannot let horrors like this happen again. Speak out NOW and demand that world leaders condemn this genocide! Unarmed civilians and opposition combatants alike are housed at the Sednaya military prison near Damascus, where they are subjected to systematic torture — including beatings, electrocution, and even rape. Each day, guards kill as many as 50 detainees. Many have died via mass hangings. The government used to pile their corpses in mass graves, but the extrajudicial killings have reached such a proportion that they can no longer manage the huge number of bodies. These are not the first atrocities the Syrian government has committed. It forcibly disappeared more than 65,000 people between 2011 and 2015, and approximately 18,000 of those who were abducted died. The heads of the G7 countries — Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the UK, and the US — and the European Union have a moral responsibility to speak out, and they must do it now. Sign the petition to demand that government leaders stand together, united, against Syria's war crimes. Thank you for all that you do,
