My oh my what distractions we find ourselves among on this wonderful Wednesday.....we don't need a CC tonight, the news is hitting the ball out of the park all by itself.......

There are several things of this article I like.....first....Iraq is working towards settling their monetary debt to Kuwait.....second this is being talked about going through the IMF....that tells me it is real....and third....the mention of being "settled through an investment window inside of Iraq"......did ya'll hear that.....read it again.....

I know at least one other caught it....good eyes......"INVESTMENT WINDOW INSIDE of IRAQ".....whatever could that be......maybe they think they can take the $4.5 billion USD owed to them and turn it into some kind of small fortune for the loss of their royalty at the hands of Saddam......

"INVESTMENT"......."IRAQ"......the fruit is ripe for the picking me thinks.....IMO. Aloha Randy

Frank, from the articles today, it seems that many are ready to get paid. That would mean that the budget is about to be opened, yes? Anxious to see if this is done before the Arab summit in Saudi Arabia. I'm sure Trump doesn't want to go hear a bunch of lip service, right! Lol

Okay I may appear to be Cpt Obvious, but between the IMF & WB not only DEMANDING Iraq to complete their MR...but also then they say the reform has been LAUNCHED (past tense); IMF and WB taking the wheel so to speak of Iraq's MR; and the public, documented reports of Hakim, Sadr...AND now Sistani (their Head Cleric) meeting with PM Abadi; AND the private meetings at a mansion in Karbala with these figures to hammer out specific details...and the meeting went VERY WELL...the media's shift of focus from Mosul to the MR and FR of Iraq;

All I can say is WOW WOW WOWEEEEEEEE! CHICKEN SKIN!!!!

IMO, Just the meeting of MP Abadi with Sistani himself is UNPRECEDENTED and I don't think the majority of the western world understands nor appreciates the significance of this...and IMO the meeting (overall) with Hakim, Sadr and Sistani means a death blow to any further political aspirations of Maliki... the writing is on the wall, Maliki, and it's NOT in your favor.

CHICKIN SKIN, I say....CHICKEN SKIN! Thank you LORD!

The penny was one of cash categories traded in Iraq, and since the Ottoman era and even the extinction of trading was coining of copper to lower its value, it is the smallest unit of cash, and this afternoon is common ideals (not equal fils) to indicate the lack of importance of the thing, and during their occupation of Iraq period decided Englishmen in 1920 , the abolition of the penny trading with the rest of the units of the Ottoman currency, then work it back as a cash junior starting in 1932, and continued the penny in circulation until the early eighties, perhaps so far, at least in receipts and accounting records used by many government departments , including Directorates and municipal water Municipalities, education, traffic, communications and health.
