"Freedom Only for Those Controlling the Stage?" by ubiety - 5.17.17
OWK:
I hope you don't mind me saying that I have privately "conversed" with you via email; but in this case I really would like other folks to know that I believe you need to publicly address this self-absorbed dude going by the handle "ubiety". In my 30 plus years in the business and legal world, I have encountered so many self-righteous folks like this person and I have found most of them to be useless additions to society. Sure, ubiety may be an exception, but I have yet to read any useful post from him. I have privately complained about him before. I sent you some of his negative twitter crap and he clearly does not give you much respect.
This latest post is a lot of illogical crap which he tries to present eloquently, regarding freedom of speech, which from a legal standpoint is not even relevant on a privately owned Internet blog like D.C. You made that patently clear.
The ubster was really just attacking you again , which leads to negative energy and confusion and despair for many here on D.C. We hold you in high regard and do research on your information and believe in you.
Saying "It is my [ubiety's] view that the attempted logic of OWK has reached the style of Orwellian 'double-speak' in which 'free speech' refers to a privilege granted to citizens - thus, an inversion of meaning. This is not the first time, and certainly will not be the last, where restriction of freedoms by those [he means OWK] with a bully pulpit is revealed as a standard operating procedure. In my experience [as a selfless ass], creative justifications aside, attempting to crush opposing thinking is most often a sign that one's [again he means OWK] own logic and philosophy cannot survive long in the bright light of an open exchange of ideas"
[my thoughts in brackets BTW]
is a veiled attack on you, Richard.
I hope you can address him and suggest to Patrick that this dude is not welcome here. I realize we are exchanging soon, and I know I can and should forgive such people for bad things they do, but I'm leaning towards hoping ubiety has no currency to exchange. And maybe even there is a headstone available with his name.
Ubiety may not be a lawyer, but he tries to sound like one. Post-RV I plan to clean up the legal profession if I can (money will help that cause).
So be it.
Blessings
