Brian and Grandfather clambered from the car and strolled across the road where they entered the Saugatuck Falls Nature Preserve.
"What happened?" Brian said.
"Looks like your wheel came off," Grandfather said.
"My wheel?"
"It's over there," Grandfather said, casually.
"How did that happen?"
"Don't worry about that right now. I'm giving you a teaching."
"Alright."
"Every human being should be an alchemist within the laboratory of their own consciousness. There's always a Jekyll and a Hyde. The fear energy is abig distraction. It’s taking you away from your path. You keep your third eye, your spirit eye, focused like a laser on creating the life you wish to create. Doyou understand?"
"I think so. Yes."
The two men stepped onto a wooden bridge, paused at its center and peered down at trout swimming about in the clear water.
"When you look at corruption, the moral sickness in the world, even in your organization, you're not realizing that these people are doing these things because they want to. They embezzle, rape and steal because they want to but they have an eternity to work out their issues. But in the vaster scheme of theuniverse when you look at galaxies of forms, intelligences, different life forms and planes of existence – it's very important for you to keep your vibration very, very high and very pure so that you're always occupying sacred space inside of yourself and you're not inviting into your life experiences any of thesebad energies. Do you understand?"
"Yes, maintain sacred space."
"Good. Beautiful day, isn't it?"
"Yes, but I don't feel the heat. I thought it was it was going to be a scorcher today."
"Maybe it's because you're with me. I'm dreaming the heat away for the both of us," Grandfather said and smiled.
"That must be it."
Grandfather turned, and the two men walked off the bridge and back onto the path.
"By looking at evil, darkness, the demonic, you can't change it. Instead, work with the light with intention, and then you can protect the planet. You can protect humanity. The war is not won by engaging with this enemy of darkness. Always remember, darkness is not a thing. It is an absence of a thing. It is the absence of light. So a room can be dark for ten years, and when you walk in and turn on the switch, you illuminate the room. The darkness can't say I've been here for ten years and I'm not leaving. No, it's dispelled by light. So the idea is to flood the consciousness of humanity with love, light and beauty.Many things do that. Spirituality does that. Art does that. Music does that. So we're always bringing light and your light can be a living light house. Don'tlook at the dark. Illuminate the dark. And don't try to understand it or study it or research it. It's not helpful. Your mind thinks that knowledge is power, but light is power. Light and love and the heart is power. And in the end, light is always victorious. Do you understand?"
"Yes, you've explained it very well. I just hope I can remember."
"Well, you'll have a bump on your head for a while, but I promise you, it won't affect your memory," Grandfather said.
Brian touched the side of his head. A huge bump was forming. A cardinal landed on the branch of a quaking aspen tree and then a blue jay.
"The winged ones liked what I said," Grandfather said and then chuckled.
The two men crossed back over the road, and Brian got back in the car. When he looked over to see if Grandfather had gotten in with him, he'ddisappeared.
