"Received Fake ZIM Notes as well!" by One With Fake Zim Notes - 5.22.17
OWFZN,
I too had some trouble with zimnotes.com.
One day I made a "panic buy" of 4 x $50T notes from that website. I say panic because there was some intel that day saying, if you don't have $200T's worth or more, the banks/exchanges won't take you seriously. At the time I had only $100T, and that was my ONLY currency investment as I had/still have, much faith in the Zim wild card. Not wanting to look like a non-believer I rushed to get more Zim!
I stumbled upon zimnotes.com, didn't balk at the price, and quickly ordered with one-day shipping (an additional $31). The next day however, I felt like something was "off". So I gave the website a good look. Oh no....it looks bogus! The "Live Chat" was not live whatsoever, and the not so easy to find "business" phone number was a Google Voice number that went unanswered when called. I tired to call the next day and the line was entirely disconnected! Despite being low on funds I knew I had to make another purchase from a reputable website and did so. Phew! I'm still good, because THIS one will surely come through.
Also, I called my bank and filed a fraud charge against zimnotes.com. They comped me the money in the meantime while carrying out their investigation. During the investigation period I received my Zim from zimnotes albeit 2 weeks later! Investigation finally finished maybe 2 weeks after that and I spoke with a bank rep about the case. I told them that I did finally receive my notes (while fearing having less than $10 in my bank after they took back that money), but they ruled against zimnotes saying that they did NOT provide the service that I paid for (1 day shipping) and agreed with my wording of a "shady practice". So essentially, for my efforts, I got some free Zim, plus the extra too! In comparing all my Zimmies, they all seem to be authentic and the gold markings looks more brownish gold to me.
Anyways, what I'm getting at is that maybe you should call your bank and see what they can do. In the mean time get some good stuff sent your way and show your receipt when you go to exchange as I have heard that it can be on the way and you still get to use it (even though it's not quite in your hand yet) at your exchange.
Best of luck!
