Job Purpose
Responsible for leading the data centre, production operations and technical support teams responsible for installing, configuring, upgrading, administering, monitoring and maintaining server, operating systems, networks, telephony, communications, data centres, computer rooms, EOD/BOD operations, batch processing and storage. Responsible for allocation of tasks to the support teams, advanced troubleshooting and ensuring repairs are undertaken in accordance with organisational policy and data centre standards.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities
Oversee the facility management of the data centre (live and disaster recovery sites)
Oversee the installation and maintenance of the bank’s local server and PC infrastructure
Oversee the maintenance and utilisation of the bank’s network and communication infrastructure
Monitor the execution of third party interfaces (live and batch loads)
Ensure availability of web and email services
Participate in group and local information technology
projects
Ensure that IT infrastructure maintenance is well
governed
Lead infrastructure support team
Lead Production Operations team
Ensure efficient BOD, EOD and intra-day processingPreferred Qualification And ExperienceGrade 12 School CertificateFirst Degree in Information TechnologyMasters Degree in IT Prefered:3-4 Years work experience in similar environement with hands on expereince in IT ApplicationDevelopment and SupportExperience in supporting banking applications in a multi-system environmentKnowledge/Technical Skills/ExpertiseExpereince in IT Business Partnering of between 1-2 years
