I've ALWAYS Enjoyed the experience that comes from clearing up the (various) Definitions of a "word" ! (It's an "Ahhh Hahhh" moment for me.) My preference is to start with the Derivation of the :word" as it provides a basis for how it was originally used.
Recently our dear friend OWK has encouraged us to View our "Waiting" (for the GCR/RV) to one of "Anticipation" instead! SEE: The Section entitled "RELAX" as Highlighted in RED at . . .

What follows underneath my signature below are:
1.) Complete Definitions for the words "ANTICIPATION" and (contrasted against) "WAIT(ing)".
AND . . .
2.) Carley Simon's song with lyrics entitled: ANTICIPATION along her Music Video at:

Please feel free to join me in dedicating this song to our own beloved own "One Who Knows" and his ADORED "Sephora Fyrebyrde". (Lyrics Below)
DO take the time to not Only READ these definitions as provided but Also STUDY these definitions as I TRULY Believe that it will Assist you in raising/maintaining a Higher Tone/Vibrational Level as well as give you a Deeper Understanding of OWK's article referenced above.
An old friend once told me . . .
"Today's Trials & Tribulations are Tomorrow's Good Times and Fond Memories"
So ... Please Allow "THESE Days" to BE(come) Your Fondest Memories and "Good Ole Days" ! ! !
ENJOY . . .
Star Gazon
"The ONE Who LOOKS Beyond"
PLEASE NOTICE in the Chorus Verse to these Lyrics it says ...
"Anticipation ... is keeping me Waiting." NO wonder there seems to be some confusion between "Anticipation" and the Root word "Waiting"! Unfortunately, it's become just part & parcel of our cultural upbringing.
Now ... here are the items promised above:
Lyrics to: ANTICIPATION
We can never know about the days to come
But we think about them anyway
And I wonder if I'm really with you now
Or just chasin' after some finer day
Anticipation, anticipation
Is makin' me late
Is keepin' me waitin'
And I tell you how easy it feels to be with you
And how right your arms feel around me
But I, I rehearsed those words just late last night
When I was thinkin' about how right tonight might be
Anticipation, anticipation
Is makin' me late
Is keepin' me waitin'
And tomorrow we might not be together
I'm no prophet and I don't know nature's ways
So I'll try and see into your eyes right now
And stay right here 'cause these are the good old days
And stay right here 'cause these are the good old days
(These are the good old days)
(These are the good old days)
(These are the good old days)
(These are the good old days)
