Disabilities shouldn't keep kids out of school

South Africa: Stop Discrimination Against Children with Disabilities!

Best friends,
Two years ago South Africa took steps to make education free for all. But one important group of children was left out.
While most public schools are free, they don't accommodate children with disabilities. These kids are instead sent to special schools, but the special schools come with steep fees.
In addition to tuition, families must pay for uniforms, transportation, and food to attend special schools. This is hardly affordable for the children's families, and as a result hundreds of thousands of children in South Africa do not get the opportunity to go to school.
Disabilities shouldn't hold children back from their full potential. This method of tacking on extra fees for one group of children just to attend school is discriminatory and unfair.
Thank you for making a difference,
 Angie L.
