The programme will be drawn from the classics, familiar opera n several languages, musicals, cross-over and ballads to include: 

Un Bel Di – Puccini (Madam Butterfly), Scarlatti Guitar Sonatas, Nella Fantasia – Ennio Morricone (The Mission), Vivaldi Guitar Concerto, Music of the Night by Andrew Lloyd Webber (Phantom of the Opera), Summertime by George Gershwin (Porgy and Bess) and Concerto d’Aranjuez by Rodriguez

Polis Charalambous (guitar) born in Evrychou village Cyprus, blended with music at a very early age and has a musical heritage going back at least 300 years. Great grandfather, grandfather, father, brothers, sisters all playing music. After his first music exams with the ARSM in theory grade 5 and then guitar grade 8, he gained harmony, counterpoint, fugue and classical guitar degrees with Hellenic Odeon of Athens and then guitar diploma with the Trinity College. He is now a Fellow of the London College of Music as an FLCM diploma holder.

He has stepped into composition, scoring several works for orchestra and solo or instrument ensembles with his Oratorio “Evagora of Cyprus” being presented with great success in Tala’s amphitheatre and being probably the biggest production ever presented in Cyprus with more than 450 people on stage.  He is also has a solo carreer as a classical guitarist.

Tina Chester (soprano) is from North West England, where she performed lead roles in musical theatre, reviews and operetta, concerts, soirees, cabaret, a variety of other functions and numerous wedding ceremonies in the UK.  Around 1983 Tina re-started vocal studies with various private teachers, her main classical development being with Joyce Veitch in Cheshire, whose knowledge, guidance and encouragement led to success in national singing examinations and music festivals.

Tina has also enjoyed singing in choirs and various musical groups, which includes a national and international winning barbershop chorus.  In later years Tina returned to education studying music and in-depth vocal technique leading on to work with children and adults in theatre schools and her own studio in the UK for many years. Her repertoire has included Coloratura Soprano Arias, Lieder, Art songs, Oratorio, Classical
and Operetta, Modern ballads and Light Jazz, including what is termed Classical Cross-Over.  Currently Tina enjoys performances in Cyprus with Mixed Genre and also in collaboration with other musicians for Classical concerts.
