It’s Monday! What Are You Reading is where we gather to share what we have read this past week and what we plan to read this week. It is a great way to network with other bloggers, see some wonderful blogs, and put new titles on your reading list.
Other Than Reading...
I had another busy week packing and organizing at my house. I am not a big fan of clutter and it is already starting to bother me that I have piles and piles of stuff laying around that will be part of my rummage sale. The sale is still a month away. I'll be living with this clutter for a lot longer.
I'll be cleaning my garage later today. I want to wait until the day warms up a little more before I start. It's time to get rid of odds and ends that can be thrown away and also to get rid of the road sand that accumulates each winter. If I was willing to keep my car outside, I could start transferring rummage sale stuff to the garage. But spring in Minnesota often brings hail storms and I want my car protected.
The friend who is helping me with my packing is hoping to come today to take the bookshelves I'm giving her. She needed to arrange a time when she could borrow her dad's truck and bring her boyfriend to help do the heavy lifting. That will remove one large piece and give me room to stack more boxes. We've packed my books from A - McCaffrey and have only one room of books to pack. I don't have to have those shelves empty for the painter since they are built in and have backs. Also, a lot of rummage sale stuff is in front of them right now. We're thinking that we can be packing them after the sale and maybe even after the painter is finished.
I signed the contract for a mover this week with the scheduled loading date of June 8 and delivery date of June 9. Now the move seems even more real. At last count, I had 27 more work days and only 35 more days that I will be here at my house before the moving van arrives. I'm also planning four more trips to my new home. I'll be there eleven days before June 8.
Read Last Week
A Gleam of Light by T.J. & M.L. Wolf was a contemporary science fiction/paranormal story that I received for review from the authors. I thought the inclusion of Hopi mythology made the story interesting. My review will be posted on May 6.
Death in the Abstract by Emily Barnes was a nice cozy mystery. I liked the Edina, Minnesota, setting and the fact that the main characters were retirement age. It had a nicely twisty plot and some really quirky characters. My review will be posted on May 11.

Edited Out by E. J. Copperman is a cozy that I got for review from Crooked Lane books. It is next on my stack.
