5-day vacation by force in Iraq ~ Iraq TradeLink News Agency
Starting from today, Wednesday, Baghdad entered into "forced" vacation for five days to commemorate the 7th. Shiite Imam Musa al-Kadhim, whose shrine is located in the northern part of the capital.
Iraqi papers shall stop publication as , well as football tournaments.
Baghdad will witness a special security ploan on such occasion, which will see the people moving on foot to the holy shrine in Kadhimiya city, which is closed with thousands of security forces and cut off the main street leading there.
On the other hand, the governmental officials found it difficult to move and join their offices due to the closure of the main streets in the capital.
Tents to provide social services such food and water to the visitors to the holy shrines are mounted in all the streets leading to the shrines, which were covered with black flags to commemorate the anniversary.

My understanding of the articles says "Starts today WEDNESDAY" wouldn't that mean it started yesterday and will end Sunday? Since today is Thursday!

You are on the right track, just a day off. When they say Wednesday, its their Wednesday which is our Tuesday. Right now its our Thursday meaning two days have passed....as it is Friday in Iraq, so as a poster stated, I think it was Cole, 2 days down and three to go.

A thought came across my mind....just how do you retro the rate to the beginning of the year.... well,it could be pretty easy as the info has been missing from the CBI website from the beginning of the year and everything has been kept out of public eyes.
So for all purposes they are still working off of last years rate. Meaning that when the budget is opened/internationalism goes into effect, they will retro from the beginning of the year....along with the budget.
Since its 4/20/17 and lets imagine they opened/ announced today, Joe Shmoe in some ministry will not get a "dinar count" of value.....he will get a percentage of the budget, hcl is supposingly 17ish percent.....so my theory is no matter what ministry, they each will get a percentage.
In the end they will get less dinar notes because it will have greater value. Right now we are seeing articles stating that so and so ministry is getting billions of dinars. Thats going to change. They will wind up with a percentage of budget instead, doesnt matter how many dinars.
And this is how I can see them retro from the beginning of Jan. Less Note count, more value, equals percentage of budget. What is more important is the percentage of budget, not the number of dinars
At least thats my thinking at the moment, feel free to correct if Im off-track.
