next election, a new liberal and authoritarian offensive will start. How to prepare very

impostures of the different candidates in order to prepare the continuation.

On March 27, a 25-year-old man from Syria hanged himself in the port of Piraeus. The 
International Protection Applicant Card has been found on your clothing. No more

29-year-old refugee set fire to himself inside the VIAL access point on the island of 
Chios. The moment he was inside the refugee registration area, he bathed with inflammable 
liquid, telling people to move away, thus burning his body. The man only wanted to talk, 
to protest about the poor conditions of the access point. Then a policeman caught him in 
the back, assaulted him in the arm and tried to remove the bottle with flammable contents 
from his hands. The conclusion of the incident was tragic, as the man suffered many burns. 
He was transported to hospital Evangellismos in Athens in serious condition, with 85% of 
his body burned. Unfortunately, on Saturday, April 8, Amer Mohamad died at the hospital 
after battling for his life for several days. We will not accuse the police of inability 
and loss of calm. Whether it is an individual action of a police officer or conscious 
decision of the corporation to act in this way, the truth is that the police have 
perfectly fulfilled the role that the state attributed to the institution. And their role 
is to keep people stuck to crushing these people who want to fight and stand up against 
the exploitation, oppression and ruin of their lives.

It is also known that on the island of Lesbos, police invaded refugee camps and arrested 
refugees and immigrants. Every day, around 20 to 25 refugees and immigrants are abducted 
from the access point of Moria. Some of them are beaten, just because they are in Europe 
without the "correct" passport. The police then arrest them at the pre-boarding center 
without any reason or accusation. The refugees are simply incarcerated until the moment of 
deportation. On 7 April mass deportations took place: 49 refugees from Lesbos and 35 from 
the island of Kos were deported to Turkey.

What's more, a horrendous photograph has viralized on the internet over the last few days. 
A photo in which an iron cell is illustrated. Inside this cell, at the VIAL access point 
on the island of Chios, several refugees, men, women and children, were confined for hours 
and watched by police.

We understand that all this is but a few aspects of the anti-immigration policy of the 
Greek State and the European Union. Manifestations of modern totalitarianism in the name 
of capital and state institutions. A modern totalitarianism that can only ensure death, 
misery, exploitation and oppression for the poor, refugees, immigrants and local workers. 
We can understand how governments and states devalue human life by reminding ourselves of 
the thousands of refugees and immigrants who drowned in the Mediterranean, those who lost 
their lives on the closed borders of the Euro pe, and of course the hundreds of Thousands 
of Syrian people who were murdered during the war in Syria. All these people are victims 
in a the competition, victims of a war whose leaders are those who holds the power,

The hanging of a Syrian refugee in the port of Piraeus and the death of another man who 
set fire to himself on the island of Chios is a tragic situation that shows the extent to 
which the issue of refugees can be taken by the racist policy of the Greek State and the 
Union European Union. Anti-immigration policy on behalf of the European Union has led to 
the closure of borders and the agreement with Turkey. The Greek state, in absolute 
agreement with the European racist policy, cloistered thousands of refugees in the islands 
and the Greek mainland. These people who are trapped and deprived of basic human rights 
are driven to despair.

mainland and the islands. At present, more than 61,000 refugees and immigrants are 
imprisoned in Greece. The conditions under which these people live are inhuman. Deaths, 
suicides, self-inflicted injuries, and, of course, the racism of some Greeks. In some 
cases, there were local people who did not want Syrian children to go to Greek public 
schools and relate to the wards of Greece.

Concentration camps, access points, prisons, isolation, death on the closed borders of 
Europe and drownings in the Mediterranean Sea are guaranteed for refugees and immigrants. 
Exploitation, repression and devaluation of our workforce are guaranteed for the natives. 
Capital and the state ruin our lives and our dignity every day, without distinction 
between refugees-immigrants and local people. We, the common people, the working class, 
the proletarians, are the target of capital. The capitalist system will try to eliminate 
us, in order to guarantee its reproduction. Nor do we also realize that the ruling class 
tries to manipulate the economic crisis for its own benefit. In this way, the state tries 
to prevent any connection between refugees and the local poor, especially the most combative,

On our behalf, on behalf of those who fight against capital and the state, we understand 
that it is our duty to break the exclusion and isolation in which refugees are condemned. 
We need to be in touch with refugees and immigrants, and build communities of struggles in 
common, solidarity and trust. This is the only way to break the false separation that is 
organized by capitalism.

Expressing our solidarity with the refugee claims is not enough. In addition, we must put 
into practice our common struggles between the poor and ordinary people in our society.
