What people fail to realize when they analyze all of the buzz about national politics is the threat that
President Trump poses for the elites of Washington DC. It goes well beyond pundits and press corps and members of the Washington Post Writers Group.
It goes to the heart of the city. The city is comprised of persons who are not producing anything, yet they are among the highest compensated of all Americans. Lobbyist and lawyers, congressional staff, military and military contractors .
The fear is that Trump as an outsider will give too much of a view to the reality that is Washington.
He built a hotel there that charges 600 per night. If too many people get the idea that this must stop the elites of DC will have to find a new way of life. They have no desire to have to join the folks who actually have to work to make a living. Washington is so delusional that they allow for delusional approaches to problems. A few weeks ago I happened upon a reconstruction project along the C&O Canal Towpath in Georgetown, 30th Street I believe it was, the bridge over was being repointed. The workers were working with hammers and chisels. I thought how quaint to approach the renovation of an early 19th century structure with tools from the 19th Century. Then I thought, a pneumatic chisel would make short work of this and no doubt save the taxpayers funding this buckets of money. I love the C&O Canal park as much as if not more than others, but this sort of nonsense is what you see often in Washington. They want to preserve an artificiality in their living , and the rest of the world wants done with it.
They do not want this. The News folks are first among the crowd who do not want to have the apple cart upset. It is a good life , there is not reason to interfere with that good life, even if time and fortunes turn.
The News folks want us to forget about the role they just finished playing in the election of last year and just let them slide. No recrimination and all is forgiven.
Yet they have to try and have the last word. Rachel Maddow demonstrating the absolute worthlessness of their shows just this week.
So as a civil war of sorts exist in South Africa, the Middle East continues to erupt, North Korea stews, Europe bubbles we are given a dose of news that consist mostly of celebrity doings.
Our news is Trump farts. Give it a rest News People and let us know what we really ought to know.

I less fear the government becoming the instrument of propaganda than the current grouping that delivers the so called "News" and would have us believe them to be the protector of freedom. I am just not seeing it that way.
