There was a time in my life when I had a lot of stuff. So much stuff that if the crazy bus showed up to take me on a ride, I would tell them, “Sorry, I have to stay and take care of my stuff.” So over the years I got into a habit where I would collect all my stuff in one place and then would go through it. “Do I really need this?” Then followed by, “Who can I give it to?” It took about a year and I got it down to a small storage unit. For $89 a month they would watch my stuff. $2136 later I opened the door on my unit and asked myself, “What in the hell do I have in here that's worth that?” The answer was easy. Nothing. I took a few boxes of photos and priceless (in my mind at the time) memorabilia and then I gave the rest away. Every year when I would visit my daughter I would collect those few boxes from her garage and go through them. I will never forget the feeling I had when I took the last box and gave it all away.
You know what my kids bought me for Christmas? A better mini storage unit. It's a backpack with wheels and a pop up handle. It was so much bigger than the one I had been traveling with for years that I had to go find some stuff to put in it.
So after watching my friend Kaypacha’s weekly report given from the place a few weeks ago I told you to add to your bucket list https://www.tabacon.com/the-thermal-experience/and hearing his mantra for this week,
"I need to repack the trunk of this car,
Before I continue this trip.
For there are some things,
I need to review,
And some I can no longer take with."

I decided to take my now three times heavier pack and lighten my load a little, a couple of books for the hostel and a few nice gifts for some friends I met. Giving is so much more rewarding than collecting.
Look like the stars are aligned for us all to lighten our load and get on with living!

After letting go of a few things I did not need, I felt lighter and ready to travel again, so back on the road I go. Where, I am not positive, but Reno and some good friends call as does Las Vegas and a little Buddha boy and his dad I would love to meet, then there's always the Green Reiki Man on the mountain. So Many Amazing People I have met here in D.C. land can't wait to meet you all.
For now we shall see. I am sure wherever I land I will find a story and see if there is some way I can tell it to make us all feel a little better about sitting on the crazy stoop bus stop.
Love to you all.
Cowboy
On the road again with the newer lighter me and all my Crazy friends!
