"The Countering Iran’s Destabilizing Activities Act of 2017"?
For...
"sanctions targeting Iran’s testing of ballistic missiles and its backing for terrorism."
"...AIPAC, after two years of tensions with Democrats over Iran policy, and emerging tensions with Republicans over the lobby’s endorsement of a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, wants the conference to celebrate its reputation for bipartisanship."
Im sorry but, does anyone else see the idiocy in this besides me?
"Bipartisanship was a theme in the release announcing the sanctions."
This coming from a group of people, the truth be known, are the biggest sponsors of "terrorism" in the world. Do your own research. If there's a "source of tension" anywhere in the world, I guarantee you, you'll find tentacles of AIPAC somehow connected to it. How do I say that? It's easy...look at the "far-reaching, over-stepping the boundaries of sovereignty that this one action takes. If Iran's motivation for what they do is a combination of their politics and religion, how is it the "headquarters for separation of church and state" is permitted to dabble in the affairs of another country's religion? I'm not saying that I agree with the religious position that Iran has but, I'm NOT Iranian. I don't live in Iran. What they do in Iran should be the affairs of Iran, NOT Washington D.C., just like what happens in my living room is NOT the affairs of Washington D.C. nor, anyone else, for that matter unless I've hurt someone else. Then, it's an affair between me and them...NO ONE ELSE until my actions begin to bleed over into the life of someone else. At that point, possibly the "elected by the town's people" Marshal or, "Policy Enforcement Head" aka "Chief of Police" or, the County Sheriff would be contacted. It's none of Washington DC 's business, unless it crosses state lines and, even then, their participation is limited by the sheer fact that the states have sovereignty from the "centralized government" as the "centralized government" is comprised of "representatives" from each of the states who are there to R E P R E S E N T their individual states. Do you see how that was intended to work? At what point, does the created become the boss of the creator? If I hired you to be my representative, whose agenda are you supposed to be the most concerned about? At what point does your "J O B" become about legislation concerning the affairs of another sovereign nation? Unless, unbeknownst to me, you've secretly signed an agreement or have become a part of their "governing body", at which point the ORIGINAL and missing 13th Amendment of our organic Constitutionhttp://m.dailykos.com/story/2007/7/10/356123/- would become your worst economic nightmare because, you have violated your oath "to protect and defend the Constitution."
You and I know what's coming in the financial scheme of things but, the whole reason this needed to happen, is a direct consequence of the actions of governments out of control...exercising "authority" that they don't have and why? Because they're greedy. They've sold their souls for "thirty pieces of gold" and they've forgotten what they were "elected" to do. Remember, "elected" is just another form of "hiring" someone else to do something that you yourself have chosen someone else to do for you...hence, "representative" of your district, region or state because, other people played part in making the decision as to WHO they want to R E P R E S E N T them.
I keep emphasizing the word "represent" for a purpose because, I want you to see how you've played part in allowing all this to happen. Please understand, I'm not saying that in an accusatory fashion because, we're all responsible if we had any part in "electing" them. Now, thank the Lord, we have an opportunity to correct what has happened. While everyone doesn't have the disposition or, even a desire to be active in setting the standards of society, once we have all these criminals, thieves, murderers, pedophiles and, perverts out of the way, it's real simple for those of us who see what needs to be done.
Let's begin by addressing the subject and principle of "authority" and, before we do, I want to egg knowledge the fact that not everyone thinks nor believes the way I do. Nevertheless, whether you read and trust what we call the Bible or not, isn't at issue with me. That's between you and God. My purpose isn't to convince or persuade you if anything. I trust, if your given to the authority if God in your life and, you have a malleable heart, you will discover the truth and, I don't necessarily mean "my version of it." However, I will say this. We could take the time to read non-Christian historical documents from closer to the time of Jesus, to prove what has been recorded for us in the Bible, if that's what it took but, for now, let's just concentrate on things that can be proved through our daily life's experiences because, whether we believe in God or not, in no way invalidates that God's principles effect everyone equally. Some experience the negative side while, others reap the positive side and, that's all determined by our own heartfelt attitude and, the choices we each make.
Read the writings of "Josephus" who wasn't even a believer in Jesus or, that of "Tacitus" who was not only an historian but also a Roman Senator who is quoted as saying, in relation to something else about the place where he held a seat in the government,
"Rome...where all things hideous and shameful from every part of the world find their centre and become popular.”
We could spend the time to name many more historians and, while it's possible to find modern day researchers discounting these and other historians' accounts from the time of Jesus, simply because someone in 2017 says that those historians weren't contemporaries of Jesus, you've got to ask the question, "What makes these modern day researchers correct, versus that of people centuries ago?" In the first place, in the process of their trying to "prove" that these historians weren't contemporaries of Jesus, wouldn't they have to first prove that Jesus lived? Then, their proving that Jesus lived makes them out, at least to be hypocrites...as, while they're trying to relegate the life of Jesus to total obscurity, they end up proving that He was real and, in the hearts of those of us who are believers, he still is.
I said all of that because, in my opinion, the "principle of authority" is best illustrated, in the account of a Roman Centurion in Luke 7 who had a servant who was sick. We read;
"1 After he (Jesus) had finished all his sayings in the hearing of the people, he entered Capernaum. 2 Now a centurion had a servant[a] who was sick and at the point of death, who was highly valued by him. 3 When the centurion[b] heard about Jesus, he sent to him elders of the Jews, asking him to come and heal his servant. 4 And when they came to Jesus, they pleaded with him earnestly, saying, “He is worthy to have you do this for him, 5 for he loves our nation, and he is the one who built us our synagogue.” 6 And Jesus went with them. When he was not far from the house, the centurion sent friends, saying to him, “Lord, do not trouble yourself, for I am not worthy to have you come under my roof. 7 Therefore I did not presume to come to you. But say the word, and let my servant be healed. 8 For I too am a man set under authority, with soldiers under me: and I say to one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”9 When Jesus heard these things, he marveled at him, and turning to the crowd that followed him, said, “I tell you, not even in Israel have I found such faith.”
Do you see that? The Centurion said, "For I too am a man set under authority, with soldiers under me:" So, even while This Centurion was a Roman, not Hebrew and, therefore not under the Law of Moses, none the less, he recognized Jesus as a man of authority who was under authority because, he himself was a "man of authority" and, right there's the principle. In order to "have authority", you have to recognize and be "under authority." In truth, if you are NOT under authority, you HAVE NO AUTHORITY at all because, ALL AUTHORITY ORIGINATES WITH GOD. To those of us who are believers in the Lord Jesus, the authority we have is because we have submitted to His authority in our lives. In Matthew 28 Jesus says, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given unto me, go therefore..."
Now, let's look at the "authority of government" in our lives. The details of the lives of the first settlers on this continent are a matter of history. We can go back before Plymouth Rock, read about life in Europe of the 15th and 16the centuries and, into the early 1600s at how they lived in other countries, oppressed by the government, even to the point that worshipping God was being controlled and imposed in ways that took away all their religious liberty and freedom. So, their motivation to risk being lost at sea in order to have the freedom to worship was palpable to say the least. Then, as we get past all the initial struggles they faced on this. Continent and reach the point of irritation in their lives that, they're ready to no longer be under the authority of Great Britain, the question may arise, where do they have the authority to do so? The answer to that is rooted in something that I've already made reference to, in that "all authority originates with God." Our Founders knew and recognized this and, Thomas Jefferson so eloquently spelled this out in the Declaration of Independence. It begins in saying,
"WHEN in the Course of human Events it becomes necessary for one People to dissolve the Political Bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the Powers of the Earth the separate & equal Station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent Respect to the Opinions of Mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the Separation."
See? Our "separate & equal Station" is something we are entitled to from God. It isn't something that's granted to us through government or, any other human by way of statute, regulation it, fiat. Watch the lives of people who recognize God's authority in their life and, watch how, no matter what the situation or circumstance, if they're truly a believer in God and they trust Him with their lives, watch how those things that would ordinarily devastate some people just roll off them like water off a ducks' back. That's because, not only do they recognize God's authority in their life but they also understand that, having submitted to His authority, they have the promises that he's made to them. For instance, He says, "Cast all your anxiety on him because He cares for you." 1 Peter 5: 7
...and, the more you get to know Him, the more you realize that you can trust Him and, while not everyone will be elevated to a high and lofty position in life, in the eyes of man, God does elevate us to a position in our lives that, knowing what He has already done for us, allows us to take authority that we wouldn't otherwise have.
This is where we are, right now.
2 Chronicles 7: 14 says; "If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways I will hear from heaven forgive their sins and heal their land."
Long before I discovered that verse other people began to "humble themselves and pray and seek God's face and turn from their own wicked ways" and, just as he promised, God has heard from heaven, has forgiven their stance and, is in the process of healing their land… Your land…my land. Thank you, Lord!
