Very often, friends and acquaintances wished to know about music from the Arab world, ask me advice about the disks from which to start their journey of discovery. Just as often I find myself in difficulty, given the enormous amount of material available.
This mixtape is born from the attempt to obviate the above difficulties. A collection of old songs performed by well-loved artists, that want examine (partially and in more or less varied so) because the area, commonly called Arab, has to offer in music.
Dedicated to those who, in recent years, has begun to see the Arab world with different eyes.
Molto spesso, amici e conoscenti desiderosi di informarsi sulla musica proveniente dal mondo arabo, mi chiedono consigli circa i dischi dai quali iniziare il loro percorso di scoperta . Altrettanto spesso mi trovo in difficoltà data l'enorme quantità di materiale a disposizione.
Il presente mixtape nasce proprio dal tentativo di ovviare alla suddetta difficoltà . Una raccolta di vecchi brani eseguiti da artisti molto amati , che intende esaminare (parzialmente ed in modo più o meno variegato) quanto l'area ,comunemente chiamata araba , ha da offrire in campo musicale.
Dedicato a chi , nel corso degli ultimi anni, ha cominciato a vedere il mondo arabo con occhi differenti.
