With her killer graces
And her secret places
That no boy can fill
With her hands on her hips
Oh and that smile on her lips
Because she knows that it kills me
With her soft French cream
Standing in that doorway like a dream
I wish she'd just leave me alone
Because French cream won't soften them boots
And French kisses will not break that heart of stone
With her long hair falling
And her eyes that shine like a midnight sun
Oh she's the one
She's the one -Bruce Springsteen
And that brings us to tonight's word: DIVINE FEMININE ENERGY
https://youtu.be/TxcDTUMLQJI
Is everyone ready for the Divine feminine energy to come nurture us into a new age? I am. I love my mom. She is the epitome of feminine love in my life. I always felt sorry that mama didn't get her pony tailed girl with pretty dresses and tea parties. Instead she got a wandering boy that was always a little hard to handle...sigh.
You remember when you were young and you fell down and scraped your knee? Came running into the house crying like it was the end of the world? What did your dad tell you? Without getting up from his lazy boy he used to say "Run some cold water on it and suck it up. Be a man." Good old dad.
What did your mom do? She used to take me in the bathroom and gently put peroxide on it, wrap it up in the bandage, kiss my boo-boo. Then she would go start flying around the pots and pans and make me my favorite meal or my favorite dessert. Good old mom.
So unfortunately for us we've had a society that has been ruled by dads firm hand and low tolerance for failure. Kind of turned it into a dog eat dog world. Kind of turned into a good old boys club where if you're not part of us, you're part of them. A very us vs. them mentality. Hence jobs and upward mobility get given to those in that club. Country club that is. Those who went to the right schools and are able to get prime time tee times. Those who get all the big commercial deals. That's great if you were on the inside right? It's all a gravy train if you're part of the in crowd. Kind of sucked if you were out, tho. And that was me, as much as I tried to be part of that crowd I just didn't have the family crest to back it up. But you know what it did? It gave me ambition. It gave me the desire to want to be a millionaire (but I never thought ZIM). And as much is mama put peroxide on my boo-boos, that's one thing she could not give me. Or did she?...
You see mama died years ago. And right after she died this currency thing just kind of fell from the sky onto my lap. So one could say that I got in this by pure luck. Or maybe I helped an old lady across the street or maybe I told the universe I'm sick of the way this world is and I want to help it. But I think mama wanted to make her son happy one last time.
So take a minute to think about the exchange and the blessings coming our way. I just can't imagine a man, a male energy, a country club member, for example, saying "hey kid. come over here. I want to give you a lot of money just because you're you." I was a member of a country club at one point and trust me, that is not how those guys operate. Not in their DNA. Looking back it was a lot of golfing, a lot of drinking, and a lot of gambling. Low tips too. Pretty typical male energy I may say.
But now, you, me, them, us...we're gonna have a female energy stand up and be counted. Mom's gonna take the wheel for a while. Can I get a witness? What's gonna be like? Hooters going away over night? Bye bye Glitter Factory? Your guess is as good as mine, but I'm looking forward to it. I love the no-nonsense, straight to the point way that women carry themselves. And the nurturing, my God the nurturing. This world needs a great big hug and a kiss on its boo-boo in a big way. So I guess when we go out into this world, we can remember that God and Jesus helped us to be in the position we are. But when we look at a situation like extreme poverty, we can also think of mama and her gentle sympathetic approach...rather than dad saying "shake it off". Divine indeed.
Ps I love that we're getting our heads up from SNL and the Globe. Vive la revolution!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do you hear the people sing?
Singing a song of angry men?
It is the music of a people
Who will not be slaves again!
When the beating of your heart
Echoes the beating of the drums
There is a life about to start..
And that's the word

"Mama Liked the Roses"
Oh, mama liked the roses she grew them in the yard
But Winter always came around and made the growing way too hard
Oh, mama liked the roses and when she had the time
She'd decorate the living room, for all us kids to see
When I hear the Sunday bells ringing in the morning
I remember crying when she used to sing
Oh, mama liked the roses but most of all she cared
About the way we learned to live
And if we said our prayers
You know I kept the family bible
With a rose that she saved inside
It was pressed between the pages
Like it had found a place to hide
Oh, mama liked the roses in such a special way
We bring them every Mother's Day
And put them on her grave
Oh, mama liked the roses Mmmm
Mama liked the roses
