My dad just brought me some of my grandpa's old military records from his time as a fighter pilot in the Air Force.
He really wanted to kill some Nazis, and tried to avoid being medically discharged for ulcers, as this transcript of his hearing shows.
I guess it's good that he didn't make it over to Europe, or I would never have been born. Still, this stuff is pretty neat, and I'm just glad he's not alive to see what's happening in the world right now.
