"Hydration" - GCR/RV Update - 00:00 EST - Sunday - February 5, 2017
One of the subjects that is at the center of what we're waiting for, is that of "sovereignty"...self-governance and, the reason we're needing to re-visit this topic is because "those who have been elected to represent us", have forgotten their positions of authority in a "Republic" form of government. The Founders of this Great Republic were fully aware of what Romans 13 says and, so was King George III. The trouble was then, and has been all along, the "elected representatives" forgetting that when you are "hired" (elected) to a job, the only authority you have, comes from the one or ones who hired you. No one chooses to give up their freedoms and God given rights, to allow someone who is their "equal" to impose the rules on everyone else. No one "votes" for a monarch. Monarch are imposed upon people under the deception of "divine right." There is NO SUCH THING! God DOES NOT IMPOSE even himself upon us. He leaves the choice to you and me and, in our choosing Him, He is glorified.
I'm not wanting to take away anything from the inspired scriptures. I study them almost daily and, have done so, a good part of my life but, when you join recorded history and motivations with the translation of the original documents from Hebrew, Aramaic and, Greek to English, you discover things...such as, in their attempts to preserve and hand along "scripture" to each succeeding generation, without the "printing press", it was all done by hand. Try putting yourself in that position...of hand writing, copying, as it were, ancient documents, for the expressed purpose of perpetuity. Can you imagine getting tired? Can you imagine wanting to "take short-cuts"?...perhaps, taking a paragraph and trying to reduce the amount of work, by using a summary version of what you have as an original to copy from? Anyway, I digress. A better version and understanding of Romans 13 comes from "The Message." It gets the point across and intent, I believe if what the Apostle Paul was inspired to get across to you and me...allowing for personal "sovereignty" to remain intact.
Grace and Peace to you all!
John
“Be a good citizen. All governments are under God. Insofar as there is peace and order, it’s God’s order. So live responsibly as a citizen. If you’re irresponsible to the state, then you’re irresponsible with God, and God will hold you responsible. Duly constituted authorities are only a threat if you’re trying to get by with something. Decent citizens should have nothing to fear.

But if you’re breaking the rules right and left, watch out. The police aren’t there just to be admired in their uniforms. God also has an interest in keeping order, and he uses them to do it. That’s why you must live responsibly—not just to avoid punishment but also because it’s the right way to live.”
