Freedom for the Röszke11 update // trial of Yamen on the 28th of Feb

This is an update about the Freedom for the Röszke 11 Campaign:
Ahmed H. was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment because of "terrorism"
in November. On the 28th of February there will be a second level court
trial about the other ten of the Rözske 11, who had their first verdict
July last year. From these 10 people only Yamen A. is still in prison in
Hungary. The other 9 people finished their sentence and left Hungary.

Yamen A. was sentenced to 3 years in the beginning of July last year.
Since then he is in isolation imprisoned in Szeged.  Yamen got 3 years
prison sentence in this fabricated racist court trial, in which all the
evidences defense lawyers tried to present were simply dismissed and the
only witnesses were police officers. The reason why he was sentenced to
greater punishment  than the other 9 accused is that Yamen was talking
10 minutes to a megaphone on the 16th of September when thousands of
people were  protesting for the freedom of movement.

Although many people applied to visit him, just like in the case of
Ahmed H. during all these long months the Hungarian court did not give
permission for visits  (or any other way of contact) to any of the
applicants. Even letters are not allowed.
After the appeal and another 8 months spent in detention (Yamen and
Ahmed are in prison since 1 year and 5 months), Yamen's trial on second
instance will start on the 28th of February.

Its possible to support Yamen by sending credit to his 'prison account'
so that he can call his family and friends. Contact the solidarity group
if you want to contribute.

We call for solidarity around the 28th of February. Let's  stand up
against the criminalization of movement and the voice of resistance!

Free Yamen A.!
Free Ahmed H.!
Free all imprisoned migrants and political prisoners!
