Cattaraugus County District Attorney Report Feb 3, 2017

Lori Pettit Rieman, Cattaraugus County District Attorney, reported the following activity in Cattaraugus County Court on February 3, 2017:

Guilty Pleas
CHERI BURTMAN, A/K/A, CHERI BEARFIELD, d35, of Olean, New York, entered a plea of guilty to Attempted Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree, a class D felony to satisfy a pending indictment.  The incident occurred on February 25, 2016, in the City of Olean, when she knowingly and unlawfully attempted to sell a narcotic preparation. FURTHERMORE, CHERI BURTMAN, A/K/A, CHERI BEARFIELD, waived prosecution by indictment and entered a plea of guilty by Superior Court Information to Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the First Degree, a class E felony and Use of Mobile Phone While Operating a Motor Vehicle, a violation.  The incident occurred on September 14, 2016, in the City of Olean, when the defendant operated a motor vehicle at a time her license was suspended or revoked and used her mobile phone while operating a motor vehicle.  Sentencing is scheduled for April 3, 2017.

TODD ULLMAN, 57, of Salamanca, New York, entered a plea of guilty to  Leaving the Scene of a Serious Personal Injury Accident, a class E felony; Driving While Intoxicated, a misdemeanor; and Failure to Stop, a traffic violation.  The incident occurred on April 5th and 6th, 2016, in the City of Salamanca, when the defendant operated a motor vehicle in an intoxicated condition and caused a serious personal injury incident. Sentencing is scheduled for April 3, 2017.
