You are wondering what Street Ball has to do with the RV.

I grew up in a middle-middle class neighborhood in metro Los Angeles.

So what is a group of middle class family kids to do for fun with little disposable family income?

Why of course improvise.

Create a 'baseball field' in a quiet street intersection.

There were no open grass baseball diamonds within reasonable biking distance, or parental boundary distance.

So we played street baseball. Hours and hours. Sometimes past midnight.

And football, soccer, hockey, etc.

Some of those moments ended up being epic stories we would all fondly recall and laugh about decades later, still to the day.

To this day, nothing has topped the joy I experienced with my friends playing in the street.

Of course without a safe place to play, the games would never have been played.

Without a firm infrastructure in place, including a decent road, enough cash to buy equipment, and supportive parents, food, shoes, shelter, etc - nary a ball would have been hit, thrown, or kicked.

There are plenty of places around the globe where its not possible to play street ball.

Or to get out and have a little fun of any kind.

Kids in those situations are just thankful to get their next meal.

And thankful to live to make it to their teens.

Post RV I will challenge myself to have every kid in the world playing Street Ball.

Or perhaps even in nice sports facilities.

For enjoying life, especially when you are young, is what makes it worth living.

God Bless
