There was never any illusion about the intentions and the activities of SYRIZA and the
coalition government with ANEL. The anarchist movement throughout the duration of these
two and a half years left government was essentially the positive and weaknesses, the only
opposition left in misery. Since the adoption of the third memorandum, actions against
type C prisons and the hunger strike of state hostages, solidarity to migrants and
resistance in the state and non-fascism, anarchists / s contrasted word and action against
widespread apathy, the ekfasismo society and the arbitrariness of a political system with
frontispiece suppress and experiences of media terrorism survives with tooth and nail.

SYRIZANEL the government seems to lift and glove threw Kyriakos Mitsotakis concerning law
and order and doctrine attacks the anarchy either directly or indirectly supporting or
rinsing Nazis and nazidia recent days. Responding to the call of the New Republic adopts
rhetoric of both ends (characteristic is the statement of the Minister Pro.Po Tosca after
the attack at the offices of SYRIZA that "elements from far left and far right direction,
they only do evil in our society and in the country why destabilize the country and this
is their only perhaps continue '), while indulging in tolerance of ASE fascists in Chios ,
Lesvos , Kastelorizo (the famous joint photographing Vitsa with scurfy) and most recently
in Oreokastro (where uniformed protect scenic threatening refugee), and resorting to
modern police spying methods.

According to the regime's media, "officers of the Police They find that the doctrine of
apparent police outside buildings is ineffective and possibly the "invisible" police
presence will have important results in terms of prevention and arrest the perpetrators of
such attacks which would act as a deterrent. " Leaks were made after the attack on the
offices of SYRIZA.

The political impasse created by the death of social democracy creates a serious problem
of ideological identity and SYRIZA. Not having room for maneuver in the area of social
benefits and after another setback to euphemistically negotiation with the troika and in
view of the upcoming antisocial measures repression intensifies and laundering of Nazi ASE
intensified.

Last example, the current presence Voutsis (Speaker) and Spirtzi (Minister of
Infrastructure and Transport) on the anniversary of "liberation" of Ioannina next to the
Golden Dawn MP Christos Pappas.

State, church and Nazis - all bastards are working together!
Government representatives are not bothered by the presence of uniformed Nazis while
trying to remove antifascists who / s involved in anti-fascist demonstration in the area
of the celebration. The answer of the cops was repression and attack the anti-fascists.
One of their companions xylofortothike wild and transferred unconscious to the police
station without anyone to take responsibility and to answer the lawyer's questions about
the status and lying. The start of diametakomidis from the police station to the
University Hospital of Ioannina held on the 13.20, with two hours delay, according to
testimony on Indymedia .

Information from Indymedia:

Comrade, despite the fierce beating, at present, seems to be running a serious risk to his
life. Hospitalized guarded by about 10 cops, one of them in the chamber. The entire
leadership of the local ELAS is in the hospital and looking to cook the case. They have a
plurality of cops with simple scratches to get advice as to "justify" the unjustifiable.
Comrade was chained when they arrived at the hospital and doctors Towards honor them;
reacted strongly. Important: the companion is not declared either as detainees or as
prosachthentas! The case stinks!

In the adjoining photo looks a high-ranking officer of ELAS politically, beating with peg
mate with bare hands, which already has been immobilized by other pigs. This particular
companion is the only production which until now has been transformed into arrest.

The doctors have submitted all the required tests and found that bears wounds in the body
and head, and was diagnosed with a concussion and was hospitalized in the neurosurgery clinic.

Nothing is forgotten, nothing is forgiven. O SYRIZA has made his choices long ago. So
did we. Dating streets ..

The Russian-Iranian victory in Aleppo marks a new stage in the imperialist fray in Syria.
Moscow and Tehran are now in a strong position to resolve the conflict to their advantage,
with the consent of Ankara. In this new configuration, the Kurdish left seeks to
consolidate the Rojava. ---- On 23 and 24 January, in Astana (Kazakhstan), Russia, Turkey
and Iran launched a first round of peace talks with their respective clients - Bashar on
the one hand, headed by Moscow and Tehran; The Islamist brigades sponsored by Turkey on
the other. The other powers of interference are, for the moment, set back. But what
happened to make such a turnaround possible? ---- It is happening that Turkey, which
already appears as the great loser of the civil war in Syria, seeks to save the furniture.

Read also: Syria: "At the heart of the imperialist melee"  , Alternative Libertaire, in
October 2016.
Erdogan bogged down

In 2011, the Syrian Spring and its fierce repression convinced the Turkish president that
the Assad regime would not last long, and that it was necessary to bet on the future. He
had therefore broken off diplomatic relations with his ally of the previous day and
welcomed the opposition parties which, in Istanbul, form the Syrian National Council. In a
short time, he thought, a new government would be installed in Damascus which would be its
obligation. By the end of 2011, Turkey financed and armed the mutineers of the Free Syrian
Army (ASL), as well as France, the United Kingdom, the United States and the Gulf's
petromonarchies.

Las, everything went wrong.

Moscow and Tehran flew to the rescue of Bashar, who did not fall. Taking advantage of the
chaos, the Kurdish left - sworn enemy of Ankara - proclaimed the "democratic autonomy" of
Syrian Kurdistan. Erdogan outbid by encouraging the salafist and jihadist brigades that
emerged at the time, including the Al-Nosra front and then the Islamic state.

We know the following: Westerners who, not very confident in an ASL gangrenée by Islamism,
give up their support little by little, consider a time to intervene militarily by
themselves (2013), then backtrack; The rise of Daech (2014), which acquires means of
retaliation towards its Turkish sponsor; The battle of Kobane, which highlights the
duplicity of Erdogan; The stagnation of petromonarchies in a disastrous intervention in
Yemen (2015); The Russian bombing on the ASL that put Bashar back in the saddle and cause
a diplomatic escalation with Ankara ...

In the summer of 2016, the result of five years of intervention in Syria is therefore
calamitous for the Erdogan regime: Bachar is still there; Considerable sums of money have
been swallowed up; 2.7 million Syrian refugees survive on Turkish soil; Rojava and Kobane
have galvanized the extreme left Turkish and Kurdish; Daech has established active cells
up to Istanbul; Russia has launched economic sanctions against Turkey; The war against the
PKK ravaged Anatolia again.

In short, the neo-Ottoman dream of the years 2000, that of a Turkey at the same time a
member of the European Union and leader in the Middle East, is in crumbs.

The coup attempt of July 2016 crowns everything, revealing that the hostility to the
adventurism of Erdogan in Syria gained until the staff of the army - the role of
brotherhood Gülen, pointed out by Power, is not enough to explain this sedition nor the
purges of tens of thousands of people who followed.

This failed putsch decides Erdogan to look for an exit door in Syria while keeping his
head high. He renounces the overthrow of Bashar; The containment of the Kurds becomes the
priority objective.

The new trio Moscow-Tehran-Ankara

Putin authorizes the creation of a Turkish occupation zone in Syria in exchange for the
release of Aleppo, East by Erdogan, a prelude to peace negotiations. Washington has
naturally acquiesced in the condition that Erdogan releases Daech.

Putin and Erdogan on 10 October 2016 in Istanbul. The deal: let us take Alep; I authorize
you to occupy the north of Syria.
Cc Kremlin.ru
In September, the Turkish army invaded northern Syria, preventing the unification of
Rojava. Daech gives way to the ground without resisting. Several thousand Islamist
fighters in the pay of Ankara abandoned Aleppo to retreat to the Turkish zone. The
following month, the Russo-Iranian offensive against East Aleppo began. It ends in
December with the evacuation of the last four fighters to territories held by the rebels -
a deal, again, between Moscow and Ankara[1]. While the Aleppo departed from the city in a
bus stop, the Turkish army and its deputies stormed Al Bab, a town held by Daech, to seize
them before the Syrian Democratic Forces (FDS, Arab-Kurdish coalition).

The novelty is that at Al Bab, for the first time, Daech does not withdraw without
fighting. Despite the bombing of the Russian aviation, the EI holds the Turks in check.
This confirms two things: first, the Turkish army was quite disorganized by the purges of
the summer; Secondly, the divorce between Erdogan and Daech is consummated. The IA has
also committed several attacks on Turkish soil - including the New Year massacre - and for
the first time claimed them. So far, Daech not claimed nor belied its attacks in
Turkey[2]. They were worth warning shots. That game is gone. The war is official between
the EI and its ex-sponsor.

The other imperialisms on the key

After Aleppo, the advantage is therefore to the Russian and Iranian imperialists. Their
rivals in the Persian Gulf, on the one hand, and Westerners on the other, procrastinate.

For Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates, the goal of replacing Bashar el
Assad by an Islamist government is moving away. Their dollars are still fueling important
Salafist brigades - including Ahrar al Cham - who refused to go to Astana. But, stuck in
Yemen, petromonarchies are more than ever inaudible on the Syrian record. Their only gain
in this affair will be to have wiped out the subversive reach of the popular revolution of
2011 by nurturing within it the Islamist counter-revolution.

As for the United States, France and the United Kingdom, they have now renounced the
withdrawal of Syria from the Russian and Iranian spheres of influence. This does not mean
that US imperialism is going to wash its hands with fair play. Donald Trump probably ask
pledges before approving any pax russia Syria - and it is far from won.

The Kurdish left on the tightrope

Despite his declaration of victory, Bachar does not control any Aleppo. 15% to 20% of the
city around the Shaykh Maqsud district are controlled by the SDS[3]. Holding equidistant
regime and rebel groups during the Battle of Aleppo, the FDS welcomed to Cheick Maqsoud
about one-third of the refugees fleeing the Russian bombing - 8,000 to 30,000 people
according to sources - including rebels Non-Islamists. The Russian military police was
deployed around Cheick Maqsoud, to avoid any clash with Hezbollah or Bashar soldiers.

The FDS controls 15% to 20% of Aleppo (here a group of militiamen in Cheick Maqsoud
district, in April 2016).
Cc YPG Aleppo
In the post-Aleppo context, the Kurdish left is surrounded by enemies. On the one hand,
Daech is still threatening. On the other hand, Ankara, Tehran and Damascus want to
strangle this insolent Rojava, against-style democratic and anti-colonial symbol .

For the moment, Moscow and Washington are blocking these claims. The Russians are well
disposed towards the Democratic Union Party (PYD) and believe that its inclusion is
necessary in a peace process[4]. But the opposition of the other three is total to the
presence of the PYD in the negotiations of Geneva and Astana. As for the Americans, they
continue to deliver weapons to the SDF as long as they continue the Euphrates Wrath
campaign to Raqqa, the capital of the caliphate.

Raqqa may seem a reckless target for the SDS, although the liberation of Manbij in June
showed that democratic confederalism was "exportable" outside of Rojava. But according to
a source close to the Kurdish left, the FDS sought first to seize the Al Tabqah dam, which
would guarantee the Rojava's electricity supply, and to make as many arms deliveries as
possible. Prevision of a possible Russian and American release and a direct confrontation
with Bachar and Erdogan.

However, the Kurdish left is trying to avoid this scenario. At the end of December, a
congress was held in Rmaylan, attended by 151 delegates from the Kurdish cantons and areas
liberated by the SDS. It was decided to add to Rojava the name "Democratic Federation of
Northern Syria", less exclusively Kurdish and clearly inscribed in the Syrian context. The
idea is to avoid the charge of separatism while persevering in the federalist project[5].

Guillaume Davranche (AL Montreuil), January 19, 2017

SYRIA, OTAGE OF TWO CAMPS CRIMINALS

During the Battle of Aleppo, the Western media relayed, rightly, the distress of the
civilian population under the deluge of Russian bombs. But, by rejection of Bashar, they
were often complacent with the Aleppo rebels. Including minimizing the domination of
Islamist extreme right within them, on the grounds that Fatah al Cham front (to al Qaeda)
there was a minority and the majority ASL[6]. But ASL is only a label, covering an
aggregate of many brigades are riddled with Islamism or even "djihado-compatible"[7].

This fact was known before the battle of Aleppo[8]and the crimes committed by ASL stamped
brigades extensively documented[9]. Le Monde, in a long collective narrative has told the
strangulation of the revolution in Aleppo in 2013, repressed by the regime and stabbed in
the back by the jihadists arrived from abroad[10]. The victory of this degenerate
rebellion in Syria would have serious consequences not only for the minorities, but also
for the anti-Assad democrats. This explains why part of the population prefers to maintain
the regime despite its crimes.

Punitive massacres

"Prisoners in Syria: desperate survival methods"
Read the testimonies collected by Amnesty International.
For their part, the media of the Kremlin - the Sputnik website or Russia Today - have even
more biased their information, including all the anti-Assad rebellion under the convenient
label of "terrorist" and rehabilitating a regime yet indefensible: Forty years of
colonialism, racist hierarchy and police terror, practicing kidnappings, torture and
large-scale murders. At the end of 2013, a security photographer (under the pseudo Caesar)
had deserted by taking a USB key containing nearly 28,000 images of tortured bodies,
putting images on what had been known for a long time. The NGO Human Rights Watch has
authenticated the document after an eleven-month investigation, collecting dozens of
former inmates and families recognized one of their images[11].

Amnesty International, for its part, estimated at 17,000 the number of dead prisoners in
jail since 2011: an average of 300 deaths per month, or a hundred times more than during
the 2001-2011 period[12]... If we add The punitive massacres of the army in the rebel
zones, notably the dropping of explosives on the civilian population, it becomes clear
that Bashar's claims to reign over Syria are illusory. It remains to be seen what the
Kremlin is going to do with his protégé. GD

JUSTICE: DEATH "GOOD OPPORTUNITY" OF ÖMER GÜNEY

On January 9, 2013, three militants of the Kurdish left, Sakinê Cansiz, Fidan Dogan and
Leyla Saylemez, were shot dead in Paris in broad daylight. The investigation showed that
the assassin, Ömer Güney, a far-right activist, was connected to the Turkish secret
services. Investigations did not go any further. State reason: Paris did not want to get
angry with Ankara. What is the life of three Kurdish revolutionaries worth?

Seriously ill, the murderer finally died in prison one month before the start of his
trial, scheduled to take place on 23 January. Frustration and anger in the Kurdish
diaspora. Lawyers for the families denounced the reluctance of prosecutors to fix a
hearing date, so we knew Güney end of life, for this death "very timely" while the
investigation was never completed . Conclusion: "France is still not capable of judging a
political crime committed on French territory by foreign secret services. "

For the case to be judged, the Kurdish diaspora organizes a big demonstration each year in
Paris. On 7 January, thousands of people from France, Germany and Belgium marched in
Paris, surrounded by a strong police force. The Kurdish Democratic Council of France
(CDKF) had also set up a strong order service, and each demonstrator was previously
searched to reduce the risk of terrorist attacks. Amazigh and Armenian delegations were
present, as well as AL, NPA, CPF, CGA, CNT and Union Solidaires.

Nearly 4,000 people marched on 7 January in Paris at the call of the Kurdish organizations
to demand truth and justice.
(C) Xénia Kozlitina
In his speech, AL affirmed its solidarity with all those who fought for social justice,
democracy and equality, and denounced the duplicity of the French government. He praises
the Kurdish left when he fights Daech but keeps the PKK on the list of terrorist
organizations and blocks the investigation into the assassination of 2013. The same
government condemns the stifling of press freedom in Turkey but Is silent when the Turkish
army martyrs Kurdistan. The speech, translated into Turkish, was much applauded.

The media has recently been escalating the migrant bashing with the claims that health
tourists are plunging the NHS into crisis by not paying their bills. ---- This distracting
technique pulls our gaze away from the more obvious strains the NHS is facing. With flat
lining NHS funding (although the government are putting "more" money in this is not inline
with increasing inflation and demand), cuts in social care, along with crippling Private
Finance Initiatives (PFI) with extortionate interest rates and massive management
consultancy fees, there is no wonder health services are finding that there is not enough
money. ---- But instead of resolving these ongoing issues, which account for a large
amount of the deficit, they are going for some of the most vulnerable people in society.
Health tourism costs have previously amounted to less than 1% of the NHS budget. In some
cases just employing the overseas team that try to recapture this money can cost more than
the money gained. One element is that they are punishing individuals rather than going
after, for example, EU states that should be paying the reciprocal payments through the
European Health Insurance Card (former E111).

This has been on the government's agenda for many years, and we have written about its
impact in articles and even produced a pamphlet aimed at health workers to inform them of
the changes but also to suggest ideas of how to resist these implementations in work,
which are available online.

With this populist distraction from the real drains on our health service the government
aims to set different sections of the working and middle classes against one another. What
they fear most is when we see through these dividing attempts and come together to fight
the real exploiters of our society.

US forces and their NATO allies in the years 2015-2016 have made air strikes in Muslim
countries in the Middle East, during which at least 63,185 bombs were dropped. In 78% of
this was the work of the US Army. The intensity of the attacks clearly on the rise, which
would be fitting to connect with a significant increase in the number of refugees from
regions covered by the air raids. The right wing, however, believes that this wine
refugees themselves and support their lefties . ---- Information on the bombing found in
Western media as such. British The Guardian . Bombs are falling mainly in Syria and Iraq.
The exact number of victims is not known. There is talk of killing as a result of air
strikes tens of thousands of Islamists fighting on the side of ISIS, but rarely mentions
the civilians. Officially western governments (particularly the US) are trying to maintain
a belief in the minimum number of casualties among those not associated with the militant
groups. Non-governmental organizations have reported to the turn of the hundreds and even
thousands of civilians killed as a result of NATO bombing. As one of the sites only in the
period from August 2014. August 2015. Activists Airwars, an organization of independent
journalists tracking campaign of bombing the US and its allies on Iraq and Syria, have
documented more than 50 cases of bombing, "in which the die had at least 489 civilians,
including approx. 100 children. "

This is quite different in the case of estimates of victims of air raids Russia. Here, by
contrast, Polish mainstream media give very accurate data. Rzeczpospolita wrote in late
October 2016 as a result of 13-month-old Russian bombing were killed in Syria exactly
10,102 people, including 4162 civilians (of which 1,013 children and 584 women).

Information on the involvement of the West in the war in Syria and Iraq (or in other
Muslim countries), even if flitted by Polish media, do not try to focus public attention.
To prevent people joined NATO brutal attacks with a series of terrorist attacks in Western
Europe in 2015 and 2016., Made in return for the Islamists. Added to this is also the
hypocrisy of governments of the European Union that closing borders to refugees, pretend
that they do not assume responsibility for the situation. European right przepedzilaby
while most Muslims back under a hail of "our" bombs and missiles.

Of course, the reasons for the growth of armed conflict and the accompanying increase in
the number of refugees, are manifold. Desperate people storming the borders, not only
because of flying out of the sky - American, British, Turkish or Russian - bombs, but also
because of disorganization, economic collapse and famine. The ongoing war in Syria has
negative economic consequences for neighboring countries and the whole region. For
example, the World Bank estimated that the Syrian crisis has caused a decline in GDP of
Lebanon by 2.85% over 2014. The increase in unemployment and the budget deficit would
"cost" the country, including in 2012-2014 approx. 7.5 billion USD.

Squatting collective the Autonomous Nation of Anarchist Libertarians (ANAL) continue to
underline exactly how much high-end housing is lying empty while homeless people sleep on
the rain-soaked concrete, having spent last night moving into another mansion. ---- The
group wrote: "Facing a police enforced eviction at 4 Grovesnor Gardens, ANAL have decided
to relocate AS CLOSE TO THE QUEENS BEDROOM as possible.... Overlooking Wellington
barracks, introducing our new squat, 19 Buckingham Gate." ---- 19 Buckingham Gate, which
is just yards away from Buckingham Palace's gardens, is the third property in a row to
have been taken on by the collective, which took over 108 Easton Square in January (where
they fended off fascist attackers) and 4 Grosvenor Gardens in February.

The overall site, 18-19 Buckingham Gate, is currently being given a slightly gaudy-looking
makeover by developer Simpson Haugh and Partners, with a view to turning it into 14 luxury
apartments for the sort of people who can afford to pay (if it's anything like the
neighbours' place) £2.5 million a pop for the chance to get a good view of the royal behind.

The developer lists the owner as "private," however if it's not "18-19 Buckingham Gate
Investment Ltd" then coincidences abound.

If ANAL keep up their current rate of mansion occupations they could have collectively
squatted in properties worth well over £100m by the end of the year.

The group put out an ask for materials on their Facebook page earlier this month, which
will likely hold true for their new place, to help fix everything up. The camper van might
be a bit optimistic, but don't ask, don't get...
