A Perry man was arrested following the investigation of a burglary that occurred at a residence in the Town of Castile in which checks were reported stolen and also cashed. Mason Maha, age 19 of Perry was charged with Burglary in the Second Degree and Petit Larceny. Maha was arraigned before Town of Castile Justice Millilo and was released to the Wyoming County Pre Trial Program. Maha is scheduled to appear back in the Town of Castile Court at a later date. Deputy Mike Majtyka and Perry Police Officer Tim Bryant also assisted with the investigation.
Duane L. Archer, 44 of Columbia, MD., was arrested following a traffic stop on State Route 20A at Toolhouse Road in the Town of Warsaw. Archer was stopped after being observed by police crossing the centerline of the roadway multiple times and speeding while in the Village of Warsaw. Archer was found to have one active suspension in New York State since 2014 for failure to pay a driver responsibility assessment fee to the NYS DMV. Archer was charged with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the Third Degree, Speed in Zone, and Failed to Keep Right. Archer was arraigned in the Town of Warsaw Court where he was held on $500.00 cash bail or $2,000.00 bond. Archer was scheduled to return to the Village of Warsaw Court on March 6, 2017 to answer the charges.
