The Salon d’Automne is a historical exhibition of great significance held on an annual basis in Paris. The French Institute brings this exhibition to Pafos linking the European Capital of Culture with Paris and its great tradition in the arts.
Salon d’Automne was founded in 1903 by a group of artists, amongst them Édouard Vuillard, Pierre Bonnard, George Rouault, Albert Marquet and Henri Matisse as a counter-movement to conservatism in art. The exhibition takes place in Paris every Autumn, with a part of it travelling abroad.
During the opening of the exhibition, the artists Nima Saekechik (piano) and Herve Sika (dance) will also be present.
