I bring you much news today.
So recently we heard from the prime minister Abadi and I quote “I congratulate the Iraqi people on the full liberation of East Mosul, made possible by the courage and sacrifices of our armed forces”. But this is only the eastern half of Mosul region. Mosul is not yet fully liberated.
Iraqi forces have started preparing an offensive to capture the western side of Mosul from Islamic State, campaign commander Lieutenant General Abdul Ameer Rasheed Yarallah said.
Popular Mobilization "is preparing an operation in the next two, three days, to back up the operation to retake the right bank" of the city, on the western side of the Tigris river, Mosuliya TV cited him as saying on Tuesday.
Popular Mobilization is a coalition of predominantly Iranian-trained Shi'ite groups, formed in 2014 to take part in the war on Islamic State. It became officially part of the Iraqi armed forces last year.
Iraqi officials on Monday announced that the eastern side of the northern Iraqi city has been taken from Islamic State, after nearly 100 days of fighting.
Rafidain and Rasheed Banks are moving forward as they expand their banking availability and capabilities throughout Iraq. This news is exactly what we want and expect to see in a growing economy. Its all very good!
But we are not out of the doghouse yet as they are still operating under a “closed” economy and can not freely trade with the outside world with dinars as they are still technically under Chapter VII sanctions. We know there is still yet one hurdle to overcome in getting “fully” out of sanctions. This obstacle is to complete the war reparations to Kuwait.
Does this have to happen to get the RV?
My personal belief is NO it does not have to be completed but there will have to be some kind of agreement to guarantee the payments to Kuwait either in a lump sum or installments over time. So in recent past weeks we witnessed many meetings with Kuwait. Why now? Why all of a sudden do they need to get so serious about re-negotiating the payment of this debt?
We also know that they are supposed to have a “fully” implemented Iraqi constitution. What does this mean?
It means that Article 140, HCL, the Federation Council, fully seated government (still using 3 proxy ministers in Abadi's cabinet. These ministers must be seated and ratified).
Also there are other needed laws to keep the economy on track and allow foreign investors to enter and operate in Iraq’s markets. They have told us this group of 50+ laws but they listed 6 of the laws as high priority. Why?

Kurdistan National Alliance accuses disable Article 140 affirms the survival of Peshmerga in the liberated areas

Rasheed Bank announced on Tuesday that they agreed with the company "Ernst & Young" on the global banking system overall requirements, noting that the system will provide media technology in the services provided to the customer is more secure, timely and cost effective.

(so this week the Rasheed Bank signed a contract with the company "Ernst & Young" to develop a new global banking system for the bank. We know that Rasheed bank is on the 4 major banks in Iraq. Could the other banks follow shortly?)
The statement pointed out that "after the selection based on the company's experience of the system with 10 branches in Baghdad and the provinces and two-year trial for circulation to all branches of the bank." (telling us they will install and run the new global banking system in 10 banking branches through Baghdad and, if successful in 2 year trial, will roll out to all branches of the bank)
He continued that "this system will depend media technology in the services provided to the customer and less dangerous, time and the cost of that."

(so they are already planning for the liberation of the western side. So we know it is not that far off and they too do not expect it to take long)
He continued Dorian "We will continue bombing Daesh sites in the right side and targeting sources of funding , " adding , "directed more than 10 thousand bombs on Daesh centers."
A spokesman for the international coalition, said that "Daesh filters the elements fleeing the fighting , " pointing to " the allocation of $ 25 million for each of the reported whereabouts of the leader of Daesh gangs, Abu Bakr al - Baghdadi." (got a bounty out on Baghdadi)

Rafidain Bank opens new branch in southern Iraq
Twilight News / Rafidain Bank announced on Wednesday opened a new branch in Dhi Qar to provide banking services to citizens and to cover the province of the "biggest" geographical area.
