ikebana

Ikebana is a Japanese art based on principles and laws of balance and symmetry, combining colours and materials from nature such as flowers, roots, braches, shells, etc. These artefacts are placed in both exterior and interior spaces and even though at times they are ephemeral, they are of exquisite beauty and craftsmanship. There will be presentations open to the public with Ikebana instructors from Japan who, along with members of the Ikebana association of Cyprus, will create a series of Ikebana arrangements as well as a large temporary installation. The creation process will be open to the public.
