CINE ATTIKON

The event aims at creating a basis for the screening of quality films from European and world cinema. Focusing on the “auteur cinema”, contemporary award-winning films from different international festivals will be shown in order for the audience to (re)appreciate independent cinema. At the same time the project wants to support the tradition of the summer cinema in open spaces to make its comeback to Pafos. The screenings will include tributes and presentations of important cinematographers as well as other cultural events. Moreover, the European Capital of Culture Pafos2017, joins the programme NTLive of the National Theatre (UK), with broadcasting of live theatre performances to a cinema screen.
